Hmm lets see:
Snatch: Got to preview it three days prior to release and bought it first day it cam out. I love british comedy.

12 Monkeys: Gotta give it to brad, he can play an asortment of characters and bruce willis is not too shabby at'tall.

Fight Clucb: again great brad performance and I should also add edward norton is the man. Gotta love that charisma.

Should watch: Seven if you liked 12 monkeys. The Usual Suspects, another great flick: Spacey Del Toro, one of the walberg brothers and many more.

And for people who like to think "What did that movie mean?" : David Linch's first flick "Eraserhead": goodluck fidning that. "Donnie Darko": gotta give Jake Gillenhal some props there. and "Mullholland Drive": another more recent David Linch movie.

While your at it watch "Four Rooms". It will be great relief amongst all these other movies. About a bellhop who visits four "different" rooms of a hotel. Each room has a different theme/story and is direct by a different director. Directors: Allison Anders, Alexandre Rockwell, Robert Rodriguez, and the mighty Quentin Tarantino.
Good dark, odd humor. It's great.

Wow.. just saw the new Star Wars movie. It was fantastic, great fight scenes and a great story. It seems like this movie may bring back respect for the series. I loved the old three, but wasn't thrilled about the new two episodes. However The Revenge of the Sith is by far one of my favorite Star Wars. Well worth seing!!!

I just saw it last night as well, twas good! I do think there was some improvement from the other two as well. If lucas didn't have to cater to such a wide band of audiances (ie, uber young to uber old) he could really have made it a little darker then it already is and it would have been really good, but it is worth seeing as is.

I can't believe Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was left off this list! What a violation of all that is Cinema. That movie had it all, Humor, Violence, and the sexiest creatures of all time...... the OOMPA LOOMPAS! Are the the bomb or what, and man can they SING! Woohoo! I think the academy award for that year should have went to the tall oompa loompa, he had to play way shorter than all the other ones, and pulled it off flawlessly!

Kudos to that, Biceps. I love Willy Wonka, although I'm not sure I share your sentiments with the Oompa Loompas. To each his own, right? I'm excited to see what Johnny Depp can do with that role though. He's a genius.

I haven't seen the new Star Wars yet...hopefully, this coming week. And Batman Begins comes out in less than a month! Yay.

Oh dude, i can't wait to see episode 3, and Batman Begins is supposed to be good too. Did you the new Alfred is the same guy that played Austin's dad in Austin Powers 3: Goldmember?

I know! Michael Caine will make a great Alfred. I loved him in Miss Congeniality and Secondhand Lions. I need to hurry up and get a freaking Batman shirt. Next paycheck! I got a Batman writstband with my last one. Stupid Hot Topic leather, it still smells like skunk carcass.

Pyro, when is the 4th Harry Potter supposed to be out? I wasn't at all impressed with Prizoner of Azkaban. The director, Alfonso Cuaron, screwed everything up. The grounds were changed, like when they're walking to Hagrid's. The castle is different. I know this wasn't his fault, but the new Dumbledore is horrid. The story felt rushed. I was impressed, however, with the Hippogriff. That part was wicked. And I really liked Lupin. But yeah, if you're going to work on a movie series, keep things the same. Don't change the scenery! I liked Colombus' versions better anyway. It's more of how I pictured it from the book. I've only seen one movie of Mike Newell's (Mona Lisa Smile) which was ok. It was a chick flick, which I'm not really a fan of, but it'll be interesting to see what he did with Goblet of Fire.

And I'm spent....

I once created a 10,000+ word essay on the cultural iconography and interpretation of the underlying meaning inherent within the film's imagery and context. After watching the film twice a day for around two months or so, you do start getting a little strange... Hey, at least I can now look back on it and still admire it for the subversive genius it is. In m eyes, David Lynch cannot go wrong.

Ah yes, let's get back to big bangs and explosions. Star Wars: Episode III was certainly a return to form, but I couldn't help but laugh at a certain section towards the end of the film. I won't give it away to those who haven't seen it, but it happens during the resurrection of Anakin as a certain helmet wearing chap. That aside, the general set-pieces used were superb, although I can't help but feel that Obi-Wan confronting General Grevious could have been better considering the way Grevious is built up throughout the Clone Wars cartoon series.

The last film to really impress me was Sideways - a modern day road movie incorporating that doesn't spiral into gross-out teen comedy or obvious jokes. The characterisations really push the human element of teh film, pushing it almost to be a kind of Thelma & Lousie for the male of the species. Good stuff!
