I didn't care for it - honestly, I thought it was pretty boring and forced. Agreed on the ending - over all a definite thumbs down.

I don't care if he dropped three companies - that's blasphemy!

I agree! blasphemy it is!!!! don't you know wombat that when chuck norris jumps in a pool he doesn't get wet? the pool gets chuck norris? I wouldn't mind seeing the new Rambo though..or any of the old ones...

Yah, for having Ashton in it, it wasn't that bad of a movie. Yes, that is pretty close to what they go through. It really is a tough school. The line in the begining of the school where he says all the hype about when there are storms that ground this and that like the U.S. Navy, "We go out". That is basically true. No matter what the conditions, the Coast Guard will fly out into it. I think the Coast Guard has some of the best pilots and crew in the world.

Golden Compass - 9/10
Really enjoyed this! Visual effects were awesome, as was the story. My only issue with it was, when it ended, I felt like I had just finished a really cool preview for a really cool movie. Can we say, "Holy Sequel, Batman!"?

We'll see...

Strange Wilderness - 2/10
Umm, I remember thinking the preview was really lame, but had hopes that Steve Zahn could make it really funny. I was wrong. Horribly horribly wrong. Had I been completely stoned or drunk off my rocker, I may have laughed...twice... Anyway, yeah, I'll just pretend it never happened.

Boingo and I watched Semi-Pro last night. This was the least funny Ferrell movie I've seen. There were only a couple of funny parts to the movie. It doesn't bother me, but I think this movie had the most swearing of any Ferrell movie. I was getting pretty bored from the movie and I think Boingo fell asleep.

I'll give it a 3/10

I saw The Incredible Hulk over the weekend. I didn't have high hopes for it, but was pleasantly surprised. I never saw the movie from 2002 (or so), but I heard this one is much better. What I really liked about this movie was that it was barely about the Hulk's origin, but rather his survival or Bruce Banner dealt with it. Edward Norton plays a perfect Banner which made the whole story more believable. I wouldn't say this ranks in the top Marvel movies, but not a bad film... although some parts are a bit far fetched. I'd give it a 7/10, a decent action movie.

We rented Golden Compass the other weekend. It was pretty good, and the ending does scream sequel. I felt the same way. I was like "...and...and...but, but....and...Credits? AWWWWWW" 8/10

I know this is a few years old, the The Worlds Fastest Indian was an great movie. We rented that one a few weeks ago. Maybe cuz I'm partial to motorcycles and the history there of, but it was a great story. 9/10

I haven't seen it, but the Golden Compass was supposed to be the first installment of a trilogy, but I heard that since the sales weren't so good it was questionable now.

Too bad since it was a beautiful movie

I saw Hancock last night, it's both good and bad. The first half of the movie is a hilarious comedy that if carried through, the movie would have been fantastic. The second half however was a bit more serious and less about the humor which kind of dragged it down. I didn't mind the serious aspects, but I wish they would have stuck to one thing, and since the movie's about an oddball superhero I would have hoped comedy. There's also a "twist" in the movie which was interesting, but didn't add too much to the fun. Overall I think the writers combined two ideas for a movie, one being an original odd superhero comedy and the other a serious dilemma superhero movie... the two didn't seem to mix well sadly. Sooo, the comedy parts are hilarious, it's just a bit disappointing they didn't stick to what worked. I'll give it a 6/10.
