I know I am slow on this response, but the yellow flower is the best because it is so vivid in the colors and shadows. Now I like the pink flower, but the middle (left) seems a little blurry, but hey I am old fart, so could just be my eyes.

Just so you know, I'm downloading your flower burst picture. I really like that one! And when I print it out, I'll put a big fancy T.J. right in the corner.

This is an interesting thread. I have an urge to post some pictures I've taken in Glenwood Springs, CO.

Pyro, I have a botonist friend and I'll ask him what that is for ya! (My thumb is more black then green, I tend to kill any plants I try to grow (infact I usually end up pulling up stuff while weeding to the dismay of my wife! LOL And I'm a terror with the weed-wacker.) Anyway, I try to post the name of it for you in a day or two.

Actually, that is pretty nifty. What awesome detail. The talent photographers have to magnify small things, like an insect on a flower, is just so cool. How did you manage to get this little guy to pose?

Highly technical procedure! The fun part is catching him without him stinging first and asking questions later! LOL Lets just say canned air is a must when dealing with wasps.

Well, I found out the name of this little bugger! Gooseneck loosestrife! Give it a google. It's a spreader, and will grow just about anywhere it says. It does attract Bees and moths though. (speaking of which, there is a lot of insect activity on them. I have one more pic of this pretty little critter, hope you like it.)

That's really nice Em, I'd love to have more pictures of animal interaction, but it is much more difficult... nice shot!

Thank you! That shot took 10 pictures and about 45 minutes of patience and chasing around to get! That little moth helped me loose about 3 lbs in the hot july sun! LOL

Wow Em, that gooseneck loosestrife photo is awesome. Cham really liked your Beauty and the Beast shot too. I'm thinking we won't have to buy anything to decorate our house, but just keep downloading all your pictures to stick them on our walls.

The flowerburst one would look great in the bathroom!

Well, here are a couple of more. They are lily's of some sort and I shot them after a really nice misty rain, tried to see the water drops on them.
