Xena comes to mind. I'd love to fight like her.

The women in horror films always kill me. Running through the forest in high heels, screeching (like that's going to scare away the monster...psh). Then she always manages to trip over a tree root...then zoom in on her horrified face....not to mention she hasn't stopped screeching this entired time (great lung capacity).

Good heavens, put those heels to good use and start kicking stuff! Stab the moster/killer in the eye with the mascara wand! Spray hairspray and light him on fire! ANYTHING!

Yes, mascara wands really hurt...stupid little pokey things. And no, I'm not really all that violent.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO what a ride!"

Anyone else excited about the New Final Fantasy movie (http://na.square-enix.com/dvd/ff7ac/) based off of FFVII? I can hardly wait hehe. The Spirits within shouldnt be hard to beat plot-wise, but I cant really see them topping the game or the antagonist; Sephiroth was just too darn cool.

If you have the money to spare go and see the willy wonka movie! Twas excellent, depp did a great job of showing wonka's psycosis (spelling?), all in all a great flick, worth the money. (I want an umpa so bad! Maybe I can put my son on a reverse rack and da his hair, hmmm, gotta work on that. )
Now, to be nasty! Do not, I repeat, DO NOT waste your money, or any of the little time we are on this earth, on War of The Worlds. Just remembering the badly written story, horrible acting and cheezy shots makes the bile spill forth from my gastro-intestinal system. (it burns mommy, it burns! Here's your pepto & tums milk of magnesia shake son, it'll make it all better while mommy burns the celluloid of that horrible film. ) Seriously, it rotted with a capital R, if you really need to see it for some reason, hit the matinee or a drive in so you won't waste too much hard earned cash.

Ok, I've seen a lot of movies lately started with star wars, then batman, to Mr. and Mrs. Smith and finished with the War of the Worlds. Now Mr. and Mrs. Smith is a great movie, it's an action comedy, I thought the acting between pitt and jolie were excellent and it is just a fun movie to see, so I'd strongly recommend it . Now on War of the Worlds... I liked this movie mostly due to the special effects, I loved the aliens in the movie and the eeeary sound they made... however there were downfalls the acting was not bad but not great either, but the effects are worth it I thought. The worst part about this movie was the ending, no I won't spoil it at all, but it ended way way too abrupt, needed clarity. I didn't think it was awful, I'd say its decent, just go to see the effects and don't expect too much else... but this is just my opinion.

Ok, I have never even heard of any of those movies you mentioned above there. I guess that is bad.

I will give my opinion on the War of the Worlds movie. I thought it was just horrible. I wanted to leave during the movie it was so bad. I still haven't seen the new Batman movie which everyone keeps telling me is good. I need to go and see it, I guess. I want to see the Wonka movie, too. I liked the original one, so I'm curious to see how the new one compares to it.

ah yes... super troopers is a hometown favorite here in batavia, you'll hear lines quoted from it often... also by that writer was Club Dread, which wasn't great but it had some funny scenes with all the same characters as super troopers.... and I hear they're thinking of making a sequel to this instant classic!
Also, did anyone look past tom cruise's average to bad performance to see the special effects, I hope I'm not flying solo on this one.. hmmm *crickets churping* *tumble weed passes by*, guess so

[tumble weed passes by my feet] Ok, the special effects were good, but that will only carry a movie so far. I mean, everything else about the movie was horrible. I actually was looking around the theatre to see if everyone was actually paying attention to what was going on. I guess everyone is a critic, right?
