I'm with you brother! I just filled up my transport, 15 gallons @ $40.00! I remember back in the day when I could fill up, get coffee's for everyone in the car and a pack of cancer sticks for $20! Those days of the 80's are gone my friend (though i don't cry too much about the loss of some of the fashions from back then...)

Hey! I liked my sideways ponytail, and sweaters big enough to be dresses, and bangles, and neon pink eyeshadow...wait a minute...
Sorry about the gas prices, Cham. Think about it this way- you're putting out less pollution than the rest of us with all that nasty, cheap gas! Good job!

the bangles and sweaters were ok, no alligators though! What I really miss is a true pair of high tops with the laces loose, faded stone wash button flies and a tee under a button up shirt with the cuffs rolled! 80's clothes are like onions, they have layers.

the other day i went to a station having its first day open and they priced their gas at $1.49 a gallon. needless to say i waited 2 hours to get service, since i couldn't get out of the line. i did fill the tank though.

At that price, I would have sealed the trunk up and filled that up too!

Yah, I hate the gas prices right now. The thing is, it is still going up. When I was out on the lake with some friends this last weekend, I saw some places selling gas for $3.16/gal. I was thinking to myself that I was glad I didn't need any gas. I'm also thinking I'm glad that I don't drive that much.

If there is one thing California hates more than Republicans, its gas. CARB is one of the original governing bodies that forced us to start manufacturing cheap ugly underpowered cookie cutters. Oh and I filled up for 2.59/gal two days ago, cause anything California hates Illinois hates too.
P.S. Shan you forgot about leg-warmers.

If I could see the future, I would see hydrogen being the next fuel source. I hear tell that a couple of major players in the Oil Industry are trying to knock out the kinks of the hydrogen engine. Apparently it is a neck and neck race. 10 cars on the road now, is what I heard but I don't know what they will do with them until we run out of dinosaur sqeezin's.
I'm gatherin' up all my cash and buyin' some stocks. I'm sellin' everything I can get my hands on. I even sold momma's gold tooth out of her dentures. Boy was she hot when she put 'em in too. I could have drove a truck through the hole in her smile.
Grandpa hasn't been up and around for so long that I don't think he will be missin' his glass eye and plastic leg. And, poor ol' Spot has been huntin' his supper dish for a couple of days now, but sooner or later he's just gonna have to get used to eatin' off the front porch floor.

Nobody mentioned the music. Come on, people!!! And yeah, gas prices do suck. I try not to look at how much I spend.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO what a ride!"

You people don't know how good you've got it!
In the UK the price is 97 pence per litre. Converted to dollars it works out exactly $1.69017.
1 US gallon = 3.7854118 litres
That means if you were paying UK prices over there it would be ....
$6.40 a gallon!!
While I'm ranting about prices...
A packet of ciggs here is just under $10 for 20!
A service on my car costs £420 ($730.00) here, but 40k's across the English channel a French Audi garage would charge only £120 ($210.00).
We call it rip off Britain. It's gotta be one of the most expensive places in the world to live
