It is good as is, however as I "grew up" on RPG INV on "skilled", I believe I have placed the only vote for "one more up".

It is nice to see the added challenge. I have played a game or two, and have noticed - "hey, what's happening to my health? they can hit me now?" I like the change.

My Players: Junkie: Kyraeu 85 -- Medic: Excuses 68 -- Weapon: Fyruse 40
Saving for: Ghost 1, 2, 3, then adren skills -- Ghost 3 -- max DB, then some HB

Under level 40: NOOOOOOOOOO
40-60: Eh.
60+: Yeah, sure, why not.

I can say that at 76, I'm just fine with the change. I'm afraid of lower level players leaving before they clear the gap, though

I'm going to mention this, I love the new difficulty, but I'm also a very high level. On the other hand, I've spoken to multiple new people and they are having a rough time. I won't mention who, but their levels are all below 35, one being about 30, another at 15, and one about 10. The higher difficulty reminds me of when I began and Dirty was only level 70 or so, it was much like this very rarely did we win, but it was great when we did! Plus this may create some more teamwork than before. So again, I love it, but it is rough on the new people.

Honestly: please reduce it. Most of the time I play on your server it seems like there are very few players. Late at night and usualy the middle of the week. Yeah, sure I'm a wimp.

My medic charactor has been fine, even playing some of the late-night games. I haven't tried out my LA charactor at any time yet though, he'll probably get beat to a pulp.

I think if its kept with more difficult monsters, the XP charts for players 30-60 needs some revisions.

Exactly!!!

Nothing against new players or lower level players but why make the game stale and moldy just to attract new players?

Play the game for the chalange! Not to waste time.

Being one of the really old old timers (DC from like day 2, and pre-DC for the few of us who used to hang out on BDB's server), I **think** I like it, but I am not quite sure enough to vote yet. I am thinking that with the higher level, I am usually doing less damage, and even with my adren skills maxed, I am finding adren much more difficult to keep full. Indeed, last night and the night before, the globe and/or triple are of MUCH shorter duration. I do know that as a result, I am favoring energy more, and piercing and vorpal are gold. Oh yea, and while I used to toss or remake healing weapons, I am now maxing and capping them more often than not, even with medics on the server (never seem to get enough healing some maps).

Oh, and one thing I have noticed... when I have been on, the player counts have been much lower.

I think in a day or so, I will have to go back through my screen shots of F1, F3, and the RPG and just see how different things are. I do know my kill scores are much lower.

I like the step up on the difficulty. The game becomes more interesting and is not feel repetitive and montonous. Thank you very much for stepping up the difficulty.

Update for my vote. Played my low level medic and love it. For the difficulty, and ammount of deaths, you make up for it in the healing exp. So I'm all in for keeping it!

I gotta say that the adrenelin rush that I used to get when I first played way back when has returned! I think the up switch is a good thing, and it should stay.

It took me a while to put my finger on exactly what it was I positively hated about the new difficulty. It couldn't so much be the faster movement, more damage from monster hits, or even the infinitely more accurate rock throws ... those I can deal with easily.

It's the inhuman ability to dodge that monsters get as early as wave 5. It's worse than the "twitchy little 13 year old" thing that makes me not like PvP so much. It shouldn't feel like it's "impossible" to hit a monster standing in front of you just because you chose a particular weapon to shoot at it with.

It wouldn't be so bad if they couldn't do it *every* time. And it wouldn't be so bad if it was simply a monster doing it randomly. But currently their ability to dodge certain weapons ... well, if a human was able to do it to the degree that they could, they'd probably be accused of cheating. And that's the rub - to make it "harder", they basically resorted to allowing the monsters to cheat.

With a larger number of players on, you're less likely to be the target, and more likely to be able to hit them as it appears that most of the time they only dodge their primary target's blast.

This issue alone keeps me from voting to keep it.

As for my suggestion that AMs were having a harder time, I still also stick by that - at least when fewer people are on, the weaknesses built into the class come shining through. I'm not saying adjustments are needed, but I would also suggest that others not dismiss the idea out of hand.

I'll end the rambling now before this post gets too long.
