Changes:
Healing pets no longer gives xp, and no longer damages the pets.
The non-droppable artifacts for Adrenaline Masters has been removed for a bit due to some interesting bugs.
The Lightning rod is quite a bit different. It now takes a tenth of the monsters health per hit, and drains adrenaline equal to 20% of the damage done. Let me know what you think on this one.
The bugs introduced in 1.90 should all be fixed.

Briefly (versions 192 and 193, I can verify) trying to heal your pet would give you no XP - and damage (eventually kill) your pet.
That's what Dru means.
You still get XP from kills (I think - I haven't really looked at it). You can heal them, just not get XP from healing them.
RE: Lightning Rod - with big monsters it drains near instantaneously with more than two in the room. Two or three shots on three titans at the most I'd say.

Does this mean it would do the same damage to one monster consecutively, such as:
Titan (900) = 90 dmg + 90 dmg + 90 dmg...
or will it do different damage each turn based on the new health, such as:
Titan (900) = 90 dmg + 81 dmg + 72 dmg...

It's based on max health, so:
edomingox wrote:
Titan (900) = 90 dmg + 90 dmg + 90 dmg...
also that means, 18 adr + 18 adr + 18 adr

I'm considering reducing the amount of adr used, and also limiting the max damage cap to 50 instead of the current 100 so that it drains slower.
right now 20% of the damage is removed from your adrenaline.
When I had it at 10% the adrenaline wasn't quick enough and it seemed like I walked through the titan wave untouchable. The drain was quick enough, but the awards for killing things kept me more than afloat.
Maybe I'll try 15%
Thoughts?

Also, from the reports I'm hearing, it doesn't stack with triple damage, probably because the damage is considered super weapon damage.

I don't know near enough about the RPG, nor UT actually, to comment much about anything specific I just wanted to post my appreciation for your efforts, this is one seriously fun game. I love killing monsters and the goal oriented RPG adds so much to the experience (no pun intended).

That may be a happy medium ... I dunno. Without experiencing 10% myself, I can't really form an opinion. And note that I don't necessary say that 20% is "bad". Just "quick" on high waves.
So by the math that's been tossed out, *anything* will die in no more than 5 seconds (given sufficient adren)? Hmmmm ... well, a lot can happen (including getting rocked) in 5 seconds ...
EDIT: Dru, if you haven't read this, or go to re-read it, here's additional thoughts on this issue:
Adren is only going to go quickly on high health monsters. I think my mistake so far in testing the drain is using it on later waves. 15% may be a good move, I dunno - I haven't really played with it at 20% enough to gauge how "bad" it might be. Let's do some pupae math!
Assume 3 in range ...
You're going to do 6 points of damage to each of them, and (I'm guessing) loose 1-2 adren each (depending on rounding). So, that's 3-6 adren every shot - if what I remember is accurate (disclaimer: It isn't always), that's 6-12 adren a second.
Given that you should be able to kill anything in 5 seconds, those three pupae, if you didn't hit them with anything else, would take 30-60 adren.
I'd say 30 adren would be fair, 60 sounds like a bit much for 3 pupae. It all depends on the rounding. If we round up here, then 15% might be fairer.

Since 10% was too little and complaints (probably with good reason) arise with 20%, take the middle range. 15% sounds good. If you would like to make it a bit hard than that but not as hard as 20%, why not just shoot for 16%? Numbers are there to be used

As far as healing monsters goes....
Now that we medics don't get experience for healing our monsters, it's more difficult to tell just how badly our monsters are injured mid-wave. Would the best way to fix that problem be to get the Awareness skill, or just make sure to pump 10-15 flak rounds into our pets between each wave to ensure that they'll be able to take hits this oncoming round?
I'm not complaining, although I must say it was nice getting 50-100 extra experience every round just by healing my pet between waves.
