Greetings everyone, I thought I'd post this just to quash any rumors before they start.

Fire_Eclipse is stepping down as an admin. He feels that he's just not on as much as he used to be. (And we think, that he just wants to be a regular player.)

We would like to take this time to thank Fire for all his positive contributions to the server. His support is appreciated.

Don't worry though, he's not going away, and we very much look forward to seeing him in the game!

He served us well. He never kiked me and is always polite.

You mean I really am important? How I feel when I'm drunk is correct?

That's unfortunate - I see Fire more than I see a lot of other admins these days ...

But I understand the desire to be "just a player". I feel a little guilty for the times I've grabbed Fire just after he's logged on with "You need to kick this guy he's (whatever)."

It's a true sign of Fire's sense of responsibility that he's stepping down; almost a sign that we shouldn't let him step down! But the allure of not having to be responsible is a hard one to pass up ...

At least he's not going away ... the server would be a little less fun without him.

That is so true i second that..
But what a shame its understandable that some people wouldn't want the admin role an all. Some people just dont like all the responsiblities and such.. But Fire did a good job as an admin

I only just met the guy, and don't know all of the admins yet or how the structure works beyond Dru and Shan, but I would imagine that there's an inherent "power" retained once you've shown you can fill this role - one which extends beyond server permissions. He'll still have the ear of people he ought to, and still have information to give out when it's needed (as do many others).

So, not a total loss. And besides, he's great to frag mobs with so definitely no loss there if he's sticking around as a player!!

On an aside, is this role being filled by someone else?

DoogieHowserMD, I'm answering most of your questions in a different thread. I dont want to hijack this one.

There is no "admin slot" vacated by Fire's decision. We may or may not be considering other contributing players for an admin role, independent of losing one of our admins.
