Monster points gauge and its freakings-out  XML

I say, you may want to try rescripting it from scratch, just to see if it acts any different. There may have been some lines of code that you forgot to put in, but came to mind as you recoded it.

Just a thought.

Think of this thread as an open PM to Druid. Im not sure why a thread was created instead of a PM sent unless Kohan was just trying to get community attention on the subject.

I didn't know if Druid was the only one that was willing to fix the problem.

For those who don't know of the problem, have you ever seen a Monster Points gauge on your GUI that does not seem to hold any purpose? That's basically the problem; unintentional sight (or lack thereof) of the Monster Points gauge.

I believe there was a topic on it a wihle ago, I thought the majority of the people knew. Sorry.

To turn this thread to a more positive slant, if anyone has specific examples of why the MonsterPointsInteraction is getting the wrong MonsterPointsInv, I'm all ears. From everything I know, getting an object with replication date relevant to another player is impossible, and yet the interaction is somehow doing it when another player spectates you.

It is not just from spectating, I have had mix-ups of monster points from 2 played who were alive.

I dunno, I seem to randomly get various amounts of Monster Points, regardless of whether I spectate or not.

Playing medic tonight I realized it's acting up on me, too. It showed I had 5/5 monster points. I tried to use 3 of those points and it said I didn't have enough monster points. I tried to use 2 and it worked.

If someone can PM me with info on debug tools I'm willing to try digging into it a little more. Alternately, if there is a test server available I'm happy to do some additional testing on a more superficial level without debug. With so many networked players as independent variables, finding the source in a live setting seems near impossible; I'll spend some time on it though.

Has anyone else expereinced the dropout of icon and info for summon monsters in the artifact menu?

I think referring the issue to the forums before forwarding it to Dru is more as a failsafe to ensure the issue hasn't already been addressed, and/or to confirm it exists with other players as well. Several places on the site also request that bugs are to be posted to the forums, and exploits to be PM'd. Besides, nothing is really hurt by having it in a thread, right? =]

It would be significantly more helpful to me if anyone interested in looking into or commenting on this issue would please condense it into the previous post/s on this topic. That will save the rest of us time from the same questions being asked and answered.

This is the only other discussion of the issue that I could find. I don't really think there's any new and pertinent info here if you wanted to close the thread.
