I had a conversation with Mysterial about this. He's not keen on these types of keybindings, so he's not gonna fix it.
From a server admin perspective, I'm glad he doesn't. The last thing we need is more ways to exploit ut2004...

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

I use a Nostromo Virtual Keypad in the left hand and mouse in the right. The virtual keyboard comes with software that will execute these scripts for you (ie. bind the following to one key stroke; shoot granade, switch to rocket launcher, shoot launcher, switch to butcher knife, carve turkey, then jump down turn around and pick a bale of hay.) It works great for me.

As you can see from the above quote taken from another thread, that even Chyster, a player who we all admire, has keybinds. Just because he has a keyboard that does it instead of an ".INI" file doesn't change a thing.
My question is "Is it cheating or not, to bind a key to do multiple things?" All I wanted to do was tranport to a puck, while Chyster is running circles around me like a insane pilgrim doing all sorts of things.
P.S. just because I'm a low level player and Chyster is at level 108 shouldn't matter at all, just stick to the question I asked.

I'm saying it's not cheating.

It does not. The rules are the rules. We have banned no fewer than 2 level 100+ players in the past.
As for this whole post...
I cant do anything to fix this bind problem it in any event. Only Mysterial can fix this one, and he's told me that he's not gonna.

Whoa there! I don't use that kind of key binds, I was simply providing a solution to a problem. I tend to think that mulitple function binds to a single key stroke (though efficient) is not my style. The virtual keyboard I use is simply binding a single stroke keyboard function to a smaller compact (virtual) keyboard because I have trouble finding the right key to hit on the big board when playing the game in the dark (best time to do it).
The software that comes with it allows for macros (or scripts) to be applied to the single stroke of a key on the virtual board. I don't write the scripts 'cause programming gives me a headache (which is why I changed my major in the beginnig of my senior year of college).
I don't think it is cheating myself, but it sure seems a bit on the shady side of night.
