To start I'll say that the RPG mod for UT was the first RPG I've ever played, but I enjoy it immensly. I picked up a game called Champions of Norrath which is pretty fun I think there's a newer one, but I'm not sure... Now my question is what other good to great RPG's are out there? There are a few things I've found that I don't like the turnbased rpg's... I'd rather be able to actually fight in real time. And I just recently played a demo of Final Fantasy 9 or 10.. it looks good, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Champions. Anyways I'd just like your opinions of good RPG's for the playstation 2 because I don't think my computer can handle anything else on it....

you Might like a game called "Legend of the Dragoon"

It is kinda slow at first but all around an amazing game. It is turn based, but you have to actively participate in your attacks in order to do the max amount of damage. It has been quite awhile though and some might view it as outdated.

i would have to agree with Doughboy, legend of dragoon is great game, but it is a turn based but a fun one. Bouldars Gate is like champions of norrath but an older game. I didn't enjoy it as much as Champions of norrath, maybe because i played Everquest for a long time and Champions of norrath was based on that massive online game. So i knew what was going on. but if your done with CON Bouldars Gate would be a good game to play. Not as cool but still pretty fun.

It's Balder's Gate, not Boulder's Gate. :/

Grammar Nazism aside, here are some good RPGs (from my point of view):

Morrowind (by Bethseda Software)
Neverwinter Nights (by BioWare Corp)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (by BioWare Corp)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 (by Obsidian Software)
Guild Wars (by NCSoft)
World of Warcraft (by Blizzard, is also a monthly subscription)
Fallout 2 (by Blackisle)

Those are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head. Console and PC RPGs are my favorite genre of game

I guess the spelling was the reason why I couldn't find it at any sites. It's good to know that I have a bunch of options, thanks for your help!

I don't know about the newer games. I don't tend to stray far from UT because I don't have much other time.

But as for older games....
Heroes of Might and Magic (HoMM) was always a favorite of mine (any version... I think the last was IV). It's sorta RPG type and is turn based. There are campaigns you can go on and stuff.

personally, i hate most RPG's. but some really popular MMORPG's are Guild Wars which is fairly easy and has no monthly fee. and the most popular is World of Warcraft, which if u aren't careful, will take all your money and your chances of ever meeting a girl
