Well idk about kitties, but I am plenty evil and dark and phsycho. Plus the dark side gets the cool black capes, and everybody loves those cool black capes.

Psh...white horses, big swords, and shiny tin armor is so much better.

We're actually having a similar discussion about voice chat abuse in this forum right now.

Ultimately, what we're looking for from everyone is respect for everyone else; therefore, dont break the rules yourself, instead if someone is abusing the rules, please please please send us an abuse report as shown in http://www.disastrousconsequences.com/dcforum/posts/list/861.page

We've also had to issue a number of warnings, and even been forced to ban a player for breaking the rules because they became so irate about another player breaking the rules.

I guess what I'm driving at is encourage good behavior for all players with all players

I guess I should clarify that it's a joke between CPL and Mystic and myself about the nuke thing.

I really try to be a good player when it comes to ethics and respect.
I also fail alot.

I have a question about "manners". Well, short story first: we were on a map I cant remember the name of last night. While running around between waves I hit a rather large jump pad an on my way down I spot a shield. I maneuver to land on it, do land on it and take off running. Seconds later I am being told I?m "rude?,? cheap" and told to go read the manners post in the forum as well as other choice comments on both voice chat and text to speech. Turns out people were waiting to grab it and I just got there first. I never saw the players waiting for it because I came from below them. I was also told the you cant pick up some, or all items in between waves. Is that true? Because if it is that seems silly to me. Those 10 seconds between waves is sometimes the only chance I have to find shields, kegs and ammo. So can someone clarify the rule about collecting the items to me? Also, wouldn?t the people waiting to get the shield be "camping" it and breaking a rule themselves?

Miss kitty was there said she saw the whole thing if you read this maybe you could explain what if anything I did wrong?

Let me be the first to say, I have seen most of us that before. Grabbing a shield or health while someone was running for it. Happens to me all the time even by super experienced people on the server, However, most of the time it is by accident. But shield and health is fair game. And your right nobody should be camping.
My first suggestion is to not take it personal. If you have picked something up that someone was waiting for, kindly give it back to them if you can or at least apologize to them so people can see you are being considerate.
It's the courteous thing to do.
If you kick back and watch us play, most of the time we make up for the mistakes that we make. Make up for the things we do to others on accident. We'll give them a better weapon that we have or just apologize in general. Sometimes when someone dies and we pick up their awesome weapon, we hold it for them and give it back to them when they come back on the next wave. Its all give and take.
If you are new to this server, just give it time, but be considerate. All of us watch and observe and are usually very considerate. And I think we expect everybody to be that way, so when someone new comes along and does something like that, sometimes people do make comments to let you know that its not ok.
As for "not" being allowed to pick up items in between waves? That is the first I have heard of it.

If anybody out there know that answer. Let us know, cause I do it all the time.

the only thing i heard was that you shouldnt pick up like triple damage things that has a countdown while inbetween waves. Because your just going to waste it. Everything else without a timer is fair game!

I think you mean double damage.

I've seen people waiting to pick up double damage in between waves and it's perfectly ok, they just don't want to waste it's time. I have no idea why anyone would be waiting to pick up a shield or health, unless they are waiting for it to spawn, and in a small manner, that is camping. A good example is PLUNGE, it has a super shield on one side and a redeemer opposite that. Many times I keep my eye out for the shield to spawn, and it irritates me to see someone camping it.
