I just thought it would be a good idea to post a thread with short questions needing short answers. I'll start:

Do headshots count on monsters?

Do you get the XP and points for anything you kill with ultima?

How can a deemer (or ion painter) kill other players? I thought we couldn?t harm other players.

Is there an XP bonus for the person who killed a monster?

Is there a set number of XP in each monster? If so what is the XP for X (each) monster?

If damaging a monster earns you XP does a higher weapon damage stat earn you XP faster?

Good questions.

I only know that you can blow someone off the map buy using the deemer. They may fall into a pit of lava or over a cliff. Been blown off the map a few times, LOL.

When you talk about headshots. I shoot the big monsters in the head if I can thinking they get more damage that way like in DM. Where is the best place to shoot these monsters? Am I wasting my energy going for headshots?

1. headshots, not sure. doesnt seem to matter.
2. ultima. i think your suppose to get exp.
3. http://www.disastrousconsequences.com/dcforum/posts/list/874.page
4. no bonus. you are guaranteed 1 exp for a kill.
5. dont know the exp for each monster.
6. doesnt matter if you do 100 damage or 1000 damage on a critter that has 50 health. you will get the same amount of exp. now if the monster can take 1000 damage comapared to 100 in one shot, then ya, you will get more exp for the more damage.

>> Do headshots count on monsters?

Nali only

>> Do you get the XP and points for anything you kill with ultima?

Yes

>> How can a deemer (or ion painter) kill other players? I thought we couldn?t harm other players.

If your nuke causes you to die, every point of damage after you die will apply to everyone. The reason is that the "Instigator" of the damage no longer exists.

>> Is there an XP bonus for the person who killed a monster?

Yes. You get at least 1 xp for killing a monster. You do get the Score and the Adrenaline for killing though.

>> Is there a set number of XP in each monster? If so what is the XP for X (each) monster?

It's score value is generally it's xp value. This is modified up and down in some of the game types on this server though.

>> If damaging a monster earns you XP does a higher weapon damage stat earn you XP faster?

Yes. More damage = more exp up until you kill the monster.

Sure. You get exp for each point of damage you do. It divides the total xp value for the monster by the total hp of the monster.

If a monster has 1000 hp and a score of 10, each point of damage would get .01 xp for each point of damage, and an addditional 1 for the kill

AAAhhhhh... that would also explain why i once shot a titan with a flak +5 at close range, got 3 XP per shot and still got XP even tho i was not the one who killed it.

but then there is another question, if i do 99% fo the damage to a monster but someone else gets the shot that kills it who gets the 1 XP for the monsters death?

[edit] i'm not trying to be a pain in the rear just trying to figure out how XP works.

Thanks for the information Dru. No more deemers for me unless I have time to shoot it properly! I did not know that it could damage others (other than blowing them off the map) so I will be more carefull.

We are taling about a single xp here. The player that kills the monster gets at least 1 xp for killing it, even if the damage would have only given them 0.01 xp

I notice that some skaarj loses their heads too. do you think it applies to them also?

well, that is assuming you knew that xp is given by damage rather than complete kills. i should of been more specific on "bonus". I was thinking the question referred to added xp bonus and not the adrenaline and score count. but ya, as a bonus, you get adrenaline and the score. but then again, score isnt too important. It's the XP that counts.

yes. you get xp for retaliation. as I have found out, at level 1 you get 3 xp for a nali doing a full shield gun attack on you.
