Photo updates. Since we are posting newer pics, and we just took pics for the web site for the SCA group I am involved in, I have a few new pics to share. First, here is a pic of me in my garb:

The SCA is a medieval living history group, which does research and recreation (as opposed to re-enactment) for the time period covering 600-1600AD for cultures which had contact with European cultures during that time. You can find out more about the SCA at www.sca.org

As for the thing which you think looks like a toga, it is a tunic. The huge difference between a tunic and a toga is that a toga tended to be a unfitted garment which fastened over the shoulder with no real sleves. The tunic, OTOH, was fitted and essentially resembles an oversized t-shirt. My cooler-weather court tunic, which is made out of about 6yds of velvet, is even longer than the tunic I am wearing in that pic. It goes down to the wrists on the sleves, and goes down to just below the mid-calf instead of just above the knee.

Yeah im missing the high angled pouty lips pose and the shirtless flexing pic of the back pose.

Heh its not really a beard, more like a goatee. I can't grow a beard, not a half decent one anyway.
