There is a new version 2.20 (or 2.21 or 2.22 ...) of DruidsRPG. Can people report any new bugs that have been introduced in this version.

  • The L stats screen no longer works when you are dead

    Also, as you have noticed, the L stats menu has changed. It now has some disabled buttons Buy and Sell. (In a future version these will be enabled to allow SubClasses to be bought.) It should no longer be possible to see the old L stats screen. If you do manage to see the old screen, it is a bug I need to fix. Can you let me know how you managed to display the old screen. Thanks.

    Engineers Weapon speed bonus ( 50) Primary link gun fire seems to be reduced, idk if that has to be like that now

    You'll notice that link primary actually does decent damage now.

    See this thread. In particular,

  • The Engineer link gun has changed so it fires at half the speed, but each hit does nearly double the damage. So the main effect is half the number of link shots to replicate.
  • Eng link beam now does 35 damage every 0.24 sec (145/sec) instead of 20 damage every 0.12 sec (166/sec)
  • Eng link primary projectile fire now does 50 per shot at a rate of 2.5/sec (125/sec) instead of 30 at a rate of 5/sec (150/sec). Eng link projectiles also travel 25% faster
  • The damage changes are a slight nerf to the eng link, but not as bad as it seems, as the combined damage occurs on the first shot. So for example to kill something of health 100 with the beam takes 3 hits (0.48 secs) instead of 5 hits (0.48 secs). Likewise, the new proj fire will take 2 hits (0.4 secs) instead of 4 hits (0.6 secs). Without lowering the damage, this half/double change would have increased the link power.

    hey Szlat is the skills screen/menu not supposed to show or is that a known bug?

    if it is they way its supposed to be makes it kinda hard to check out and buy skills when ya supposed to be kill'n critters!

    I may be getting old and falling apart but I can sure can raise Hell and have fun doing it!

    There is a bug where pressing L does nothing when you are dead. I am looking at fixing that ASAP.

    While you are alive the stats screen should show when you press L. It should look like this:


    With the 3 disabled buttons middle right, and only showing the abilities your class can buy.

    If you get the old menu (which would be a bug), DO NOT USE IT. You might end up losing your stats.

    I cant seem to pick up some artifacts as I once could.....

    My current skin After several other skins, I have reverted back to Bender.

    That shouldn't have changed. There is the limit of 3 artifacts. Apart from that, should be ok.

    There is an intended stop of an AM picking up some artifacts if he already has them. But these are artifacts like MegaBlast that you don't find lying around on DC. So, there should be no problem.

    However, I notice there is a bug in the Loaded Weapons code that stops them picking up certain artifacts. If you are LW5 you can't pick up the rod anymore. This is a bug, and was not intended. It was meant to stop LW6 picking up the rod, but I put in <5 rather than <=5. I will fix ASAP. Sorry.
    Is this the symptom you saw Flak?

    WHAT!!??!! I can't get the rod any more for my WM?????

    well that will TOTALLY SUCK!!!!!

    Yup, that was it. Tried picking it up over 2 maps and nada. ThanX for the fix.

    I've noticed that the source location (the small ball) for my shield blasts doesn't show up most of the time since the update.

    Strange. That shouldn't have changed. On my test system it still seems ok.
    Sometimes it spawns under the map if the trace goes through the floor - I presume this wasn't the case?

    There is an LW6. You just need to belong to the "Extreme Weapons Master" subclass to buy it. Of course, at the moment you cannot buy the subclass, until Druid and Shantara have finished checking them out.
    Go into the stats screen, select the Loaded Weapons ability and press info.

    This code release is to check what parts of the normal code I have accidently broken.
