DC Tournament?

oh rlly.?...didnt pay attention to times things are posted unforuntaly....i found this thread and it caught my interest when lookin for the binds thread....i hit keybinds and this came up....why...im..not rlly certain......but yea...lol......i still like the idea......sorta like jailbreak idea..too..which i missed..both times this yr..:S...

And how would you arrange it so that it's fair to all. That was the purpose of this thread originally and the idea was dropped because there really is no fair way.

Jason, do you really think that you would have a chance with, say Echo, one on one? or Botfodder? or Ratar? or Blade? or Violator? or Micron? or Greedo? or Fodderfigure? or Roadrash? and so on.

Even with no level or magic weapons involved, a lot of these players are rough and tough. I HAVE played against them and believe me, they've eaten me alive and I'm no rookie.

Before you think about wanting to try, play single-player deathmatch against the bots on the GODLIKE level and see how you do against the bots at that level. Then, if you still feel cocky, try one of the above players one on one in deathmatch. These players are better than the godlike bots on single-player. Some of them are close to pro level players.

i never said i wuld go one on one or do well for that matter...but it be a interesting to watch and b wat was suggested by some ppl are along the lines of a 3 on 3 match..and itd be interesting just to see who of those major player wuld win out above all..

....which i think those even who know they wuldnt make it long ..still wanna find out..

..i just propsoed a lvl 100 for equall playin field. and see when the tournament is concluded who will win after sluggin it out..

this sever i know has some major UT monsters..(not to be offensive..) on here..and i know im def not near to one...im a very mediocre if that player..but it wudl still be interesting as some said even to spectate...and jsut see how player play and how they play ...(perhaps tak notes..o.0..lol..naa....i avoid taking notes...o.0..maybe mental ones thou..)

so yea....itd still be interesting..

At some point you're going to have to ask Dru and/or Shan if they'd be willing to configure the server (or start up a second one) in order to support your desires.

I am aware of just what would be involved and it would actually be quite a bit of work.

I played CTF with Fro once on another server. He was deadly accurate. I would get the flag and he would shock gun assist me all the way to the flag from across the map.

I would have no shot at that list of players, at least not without my lightning or a shield only deathmatch.

I didn't mean to be harsh, if that what it is. But realistically, any one-on-one, or even a three-on-three, deathmatch tournament is gonna be uneven, no matter how hard we try to balance the players/teams. I guess I'm scared that if we went that route, it could cause some hard feelings among some of the more competitive players in the community.

But at the same time, I do (

) realize the innate desire to see just how good or bad you are compared with other players in the community on a level playing ground, with no or minimal difference in the levels.
