Yeah, superbad was pretty good. But definitely not for the faint of heart. Lots of colorful language and sexual jokes.

Went and saw the Simpsons movie a few days ago... thought it was hilarious! As Pyra said, it was short for a movie but definitely worth it! "...you can take Spider Pig with you" "He's not Spider Pig anymore, He's Harry Popper"

Anyone Seen The Bourne Ultimatum yet?

Bourne Ultimatum wasn't too bad. Boingo and I saw it. I would say that it was probably the best out of the three, but there was just something about it that made me not think it was a 'great' movie.

I thought about seeing it, but part of the fun of going to movies like that is going with someone special who is not your kid. But may go to see it anyways, especially given what you and Pyro have to say about it.

Pyro and I just went to Stardust on Friday, and I must say that was a ridiculously enjoyable movie! Awesome acting all around, great effects, fantastic story, and seriously funny!

If you haven't seen a preview, heres the link!

Great show, 4 stars, 10/10 and all that. A good solid fairy tale that does a great job of embracing how cliche they all are, yet still telling a great story.

Anyway, yeah, go see it! And I guarantee you'll have a new respect for Mr. De Niro by the end of this flick. =D>

cheers.

Yeah, PyRo and I just saw Ultimatum last night, loved it! The steadycam thing was rough for the first 10 minutes or so and then my mind settled into the groove and I had a total blast! Holy wicked fight & chase scenes, Batman!

...speaking of Batman, the teaser for the sequel to Batman Begins entitled The Dark Knight played before our movie...ooooh psyched!! Heath Ledger plays the Joker, I was skeptical at first, then I heard is voice in the trailer and yeah, no worries now. Then today, I found this promo poster with him in costume/makeup.

<<photo removed, image host pr0n'd it>>

...and now, it's my must-see movie for 2008! The first one was incredible and this has the same cast&crew so yeah, oughta be awesome!

Anyway, back to work!

cheers.

Ok, so after seeing that picture, I'm still a little skeptical. But of course, after seeing Jack Nicholson as the joker, you can't picture anybody else in that role. But still, whoa

I logged on to see the picture of the Joker and can't! I need to find it...or watch the preview, duh. I'm waiting to see how Heath holds his candle to Jack.....I'll be donning all my Batman merchandise for the midnight showing!
Did it give you an exact date?

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO what a ride!"

WoW! Robert Downy Jr. as IronMan... looks like its worth it's weight in popcorn! Oughta be fun!

Also, theres a new trailer out for Beowulf! Very excited bout this flick as well.

http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/beowulf/trailer2/large.html

Theres a third trailer on the official website that is 'restricted', much more gory! Anyway yeah, good times, awesome cast! Sir Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie, John Malkovitch, Robin Wright Penn, Crispin Glover...not to mention the screenplay is by Neil Gaiman! ...Good stuff, stoked!

Just a few recent rental reviews...

Zodiac (Robert Downy Jr., Jake Gyllenhal, Mark Ruffalo)
Loved this movie! Very creepy mystery-thriller based on the Zodiac killer that made his tour in Cali during the 70s & 80s. This flick was very suspenseful and didn't pull any punches. Also had a lot of comedy with great chemistry between Jake & Robert. Anyway, I highly recommend this one!

Transformers
Yeah I know, I'm a bit late on this one... Anyway, I thought it was a great popcorn flick. Naturally the FX and action sequences were fantastic and outrageous, thanks to Mr. Bay being behind the wheel. And, also true to form, the acting was ok, not fantastic, but not terrible either. All in all, a fun flick!

TMNT
Another late one. I totally loved this movie! The new turtles are based more on the comics, thus leaner and meaner! I always struggled picturing the live-action turtles as 'ninjas'. But the new ones are awesome! Raph is still my fav. Anyway yeah, the story was very cool, the FX are absolutely stunning. (The fight scene in the rain is truly incredible) The voice casting was also very very well done. In any case, if you're a turtles fan, a CG fan, or you just like nifty movies, check this one out! Or you could do it in honor of Master Bruce Lee...it's his birthday today. I assure you, he was a turtles fan...

...for now, that is all!

cheers.
