Please remove this map pack with extreme prejudice.
To big, no vehicles, not enough monsters.

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

I concur with DD.

If anything, can we meet in the middle and bring some of them back? It's fun to see the mass chaos and the smaller guys get to have the same fun.

No vehicles? I didn't think you liked ONS stuff CPL?
Not enough monsters? Isn't that based on the RPG mod?
and well.. Too big? c'mon... who doesn't love jumping on a bed and fraggin a titan?

I'd prefer it if the Shok maps never came back to the server.

As said they are too big. Big is bad for many reasons- more pressure on network resources, and more pressure on graphics resources. It really sucks to have have your framerate cut in half whenever you decide to look away from a wall in any of the Shok maps.

The reason why it is a pressure on the Network is that because there are less walls and more open spaces, so the players and monsters non-hitscan weapons fire will last much longer than usual. This means the server has to do calculations longer, and it's just that much more information that gets shoved down everyone's pipes.

I say no vehicles because a map this big needs vehicles to get around.
I say not enough monsters because a map this big needs more monsters to fill the enormous travel times or vehicles to shorten the travel times.
If the bed would be springy I could see that being fun.

Now, tell me who likes being instagibbed in a refrigerator? Flushed down a toilet? Or having to run across the equivalent of 20 of Mel's Diners to reach a bug?

Most of the Shok maps are set up to be big, but don't seem to handle the higher waves very well. I'm open to hearing more opinions on this, but most of the maps ran the processor ragged.

The Shok maps were entertaining on their first play, purely based upon novelty value. The joke wore thin pretty quick however.

I certainly won't miss them if they go.
