Okay, stupid topic, I'm a little bored.
I had been going off on and with this little cheapo my father used to use....

But finally got the nerve to upgrade to the Logitech 350 USB headset....

Yeah it's expensive, but man it's so much more comfortable on my head. And the sound's not bad either. But, mainly I got it for the USB connection and not the old standard 3.5mm. Didn't even know it worked with my ps2 until I tried it out of curiosity.
What do ya'all use?

Well I used to use the headset that came with Socom for the PS2, but it stopped working shortly after. As of now I paid the extra amount for the second headset (the logitech one). Works great, love the adjustable volume, and the mic seems to work good for the short amount I use it

I got a $25 cheapo by Plantronics. Works great. It could fit a bit better but beggers can't be choosers
EDIT: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Plantronics-PC-Headset-AUDIO-50-/sem/rpsm/oid/48428/catOid/-13019/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do There's a link to what mine looks like. I play in the same room as my brother and husband so in order to hear them I need at least one ear that isn't covered.

I use these from logitech. I don't really recommend them. They have everything you need, except the headband is not adjustable and will not fit well on an adult. I assume they were designed for kids, but they don't make that clear anywhere on the packaging. I wear them behind-the-neck, which works okay but during long gaming periods they pull too much on your ears. Sound quality is okay and the speakers are slightly off your ears so if you're doing the lan party thing you can still hear people around you (but not well).

I use a 5.1 speaker setup.
But when I do use headphones, I use the ones that came with my UT2004 Special Edition with the tin box. (Pre-order version)

I use a logitech Z-680 5.1 speaker setup with a $5 desktop mic. Not sure how well my mic works (you tell me) but the speaker system rocks. Figures a month after I plop down the dough for these speakers logitech launched the Z-5500 set which is supposed to be a little better. Those Sennheisers are nice. My next speaker purchase will be the Sure E-4 ear buds.

When I'm not using my headset or am playing other games/listening to music, that's what I've got. They're nothing less then kick ***, I've even had neighbor's complain about em'. Was an upgrade from some old set of Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers that had 20watt peak, and I thought those were good, lol.

That's funny, I stepped up from an Altec Lansing 2.1 that I thought was pretty good too. They were the skinny ones with the dome base and the pretty decent little sub.
