LG the Nali

Good thread, I too have found some frustration zeroing in on a nali only to have my chance taken away at the last second by a barrage of rockets. I use the same method as Kitfox, but I allow them to run to me.

sadly everyone has to deal with the disappointment of their intended target getting taken down by someone else on them. It happens all the time. I can't even count how many times I'll be working on a target and a higher level will come plowing through with a more powerfull weapon or just good timing and take it down on me. It's just the nature of the game. No big deal.

As far as the nali's themselves are concerned, I like to help others out as much as I can as well but those little buggers are much too dangerous an enemy to leave behind. You run right on past a nali and there is a good chance that the next time you pause for the slightest second your getting killed from behind.

Definitely. I generally get it at least once, and sometimes several times a night (depends in part on the maps, how many are in, etc.). And I have even gotten it twice in the same game. (gonna have to find that screen shot)...

But you are right, there are times when I am up to 6 or 7 when the nali seem to suddenly start avoiding me.

When a nali is close, switch to the weapon and run to him, and try getting his attention without killing him. Once he turns on you and Shield/Flak/RL/Bio you wont get pushed. But the nali will stop moving because now you are hugging him good.
Edit:
If you dont have the Sturdy, as soon as you are pushed, run back to him ASAP. You are supposed to have time to hug him again and now you will have time to headhost. Dont try to Shoot him while in air. You most likelly gonna loose a chance.

Note: LG Instagib nalis. Sniper Riffle gives you 2 chances.

Some of you may have noticed, I actually do it backwards at times, depending on the map/wave. When a nali starts coming towards me, I try to keep a moderate amount of distance between me and it, coaxing it to come in a straight line. All the while, I am lining up on its head, then PLOP! One right to the ole gourd!

I fear of hitting a little bump in the floor just before i shoot, and missing it. Ending my shot in the shoulder

Because i try to get all my headhots in early rounds I simply get the nali's attention and stand face to face with them, therefore i have almost no chance of NOT getting a headshot. Although, it probably looks weird to people passing by, me face to face with a shield nali or rocket nali. Thankfully in the early waves none of the nalis are lethal to me with one shot. I love the lightning gun nalis though, as they typically stand deftly still, therefore you can pick them off from quite a distance away.

I got my first headhunter last night. It wasent a good score but the award made up for the experiance i did not get in the later levels, (I was playing with only bots).

Thanks for the advice everyone. Just the same, I prefer not to stand so close to shield Nali's.
