LG the Nali

speaking only for myself, I want to say that from now on, unless i'm in a i'm-about-to-get-shielded-by-a-crazy-nali situation, i will never use anything other than LG(or sniper) to shoot nalis. we all know headshots give extra xp but that usually goes to waste when ppl use other guns. and with my 10fps, believe me, i will not be getting that headshot, but someone else might. so i decided to quit using flak, rocket etc. against nalis and leave them to head hunters. (i might get one every now and then)

i'm not forcing/or even asking anyone else to do this. but i personally think it's a good thing for the "team". it's definietly a challenge (you'll probably end up getting a few less kills and nalis usually require immidiate attention) but if more people try to do this, it would be welcome.

so in an attempt to increase interest, i make this public as of today.

Re:LG the Nali

I sometimes get frustrated when people kill the nalis I am about to headshot, but it's all part of the game. I love headshotting nalis, but you can't really tell people to ignore certain enemies, 'specially when everyone's running around killing everything in sight. I sovled this problem by mapping the lightning gun/sniper (regular sniper is better) to one of the buttons on my mouse, so I can quickly whip it out and headshot the nali.

I still think everyone should shoot nalis, you can't take the risk when a shield or rocket one is runnin' around. Plus, solely working on a headhunter is a waste of time. It's better to play normally, and if you see a nali, snipe it and get the experience for the single headshot. You can get a lot of exp per game playing normally, or 100 for a head hunter per game... :(

Re:LG the Nali

I get headhunter once in a while... I think it really makes you focus on the nalis and look for the specifically, and you don't get too many kills other than that. I like how you get exp for a head shot, and then more for headhunter, so you can get headshots without necessarily focusing on a head hunter.

It would be a perfect quest, though, if they were implemented... Maybe leveled quests, where the number of headshots keeps increasing.

yeah, this is just suggestion to people, even less than that, i wouldn't be sad to see ppl ignoring this.
it could very well be under strat page but i felt it deserved its own topic for publicity.

i personally choose to run away from the nali if i can, bcause of too low fps stops me from "aiming" (used vaguely). but i'm not suggesting anyone else to do this.

plus, there's not a single creature in invasion that deserves a HS more than a shield nali...

Yes, it is quite easy to do by wave 3 if you are lucky enough to get enough Nali in your area. Usually if there more than 12 players on you can still get it before wave 11/12. That is if you do not die. I have gotten all three Flak/Shock/LG 4 times with Godlike, but I die before the Wicked Sick, close to the BINGO! Award, but not there yet. Wicked Sick is hard enough, I have only gotten that twice, for the Head hunter, about 15 or so times. Think about it, it is an extra 180 xp with 200 adrenaline that comes with getting head hunter. If it is possible to get, by all means do it. It does get harder and harder with the more people logged into the server, I typically play when no one is on so I get more opportunities.

Re:LG the Nali

I try to get Headhunter in all maps.

90% of the time i have my headhunter, theres a trick.

Get a Sturdy Sniper/LG.

Bind the Sniper to a Very fast switching key.

When a nali is close, switch to the weapon and run to him, and try getting his attention without killing him. Once he turns on you and Shield/Flak/RL/Bio you wont get pushed. But the nali will stop moving because now you are hugging him good.
Edit:
If you dont have the Sturdy, as soon as you are pushed, run back to him ASAP. You are supposed to have time to hug him again and now you will have time to headhost. Dont try to Shoot him while in air. You most likelly gonna loose a chance.

Note: LG Instagib nalis. Sniper Riffle gives you 2 chances.

Carefully aim his head and boom!

Most of the time he will only shoot you once. So you wont die :)

sadly everyone has to deal with the disappointment of their intended target getting taken down by someone else on them. It happens all the time. I can't even count how many times I'll be working on a target and a higher level will come plowing through with a more powerfull weapon or just good timing and take it down on me. It's just the nature of the game. No big deal.

As far as the nali's themselves are concerned, I like to help others out as much as I can as well but those little buggers are much too dangerous an enemy to leave behind. You run right on past a nali and there is a good chance that the next time you pause for the slightest second your getting killed from behind.

Definitely. I generally get it at least once, and sometimes several times a night (depends in part on the maps, how many are in, etc.). And I have even gotten it twice in the same game. (gonna have to find that screen shot)...
