Namaste seems to be a lot like aloha.
Namaste or Namaskar (?????? in Hindi) is a South Asian greeting originating in India, which is used when both hello and goodbye would be used in English. The meaning is quite different, however.
Meanings
Namaste literally means "I humbly bow to you," from the Sanskrit: Namas: "to bow, obeisance, reverential salutation", and Te: "to you". It is commonly accompanied by a slight bow made with the hands pressed together, palms touching, in front of the chest.
In a religious context this word can be taken to mean any of these:
* The Spirit in me meets the same Spirit in you
* I salute the divine in you
* I bring together my body and soul, focusing my divine potential, and bow to the same potential within you.
In other words, it recognizes the equality of all, and pays honor to the sacredness of all.
Pretty cool.

In most of the Yoga classes I've taken, Namaste is spoken after the final relaxation. The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another.
The gesture of bringing the hands in 'prayer position' to the heart is supposed to increase the flow of Divine love. Closing the eyes and bowing the head helps the mind surrender to the Divine in the heart.
It should be said at the beginning and end of classes, but the ones I've been too only say it at the end. The vibe in the room is more peaceful and the mind isn't so active. Its kinda cool. Nice word, Red Eye!
How about 'Je suis un ananas'? French for "I am a pineapple." I'm still impressed with myself for remembering that.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO what a ride!"

hmm... Namaste is quite interesting, I like those kind of words best cause there's so much depth to them. so far here's the running order
1) Namaste
2) Nali Tested Nali approved
3) Kalmte
Great suggestions... oh and I'm sure that knowing I'm a pineapple in french will come in handy some day

well the nano is amazing in size, no offense but I don't really think it's worth it... for $250 the nano comes with 4Gb of memory, when you could buy the new video ipod for 300 with 40GB on it... so I don't see that the size is worth the cost. It's very cool, but i'd also be afraid I'd break it by accident, maybe if they came out with a 40GB nano for 350 or something it'd be more than worth it...

well I'm just getting into the Harry Potter stuff, so many people told me to read them that well... I had to attempt it. So needless to say I started reading them about a month ago and I'm a few pages away from starting the 6th book... pretty good reading!!! I didn't like the first too much but they get better from book to book. I've never read any fantasy other than this though, only saw the lord of the rings movies, didn't read the books

Why read the books, just wait for the movie to come out
Sometimes it doesn't work that way though. I read and watched MacBeth and the book was better. But, that's only because it didn't have quewl special effects in it
