I myself am also a HUGE fan of Ministry.
Also, have you heard the newest Rammstein cd?
I have heard it Taco. I like it, but still prefer the Herzelied best of any of theirs. Try Speiluhr by Rammstien Taco and let me know what you think.
I do enjoy powerman 5000 also CPLMAC, did you know he is Rob Zombie's younger brother?

Okey my turn so we can have some more variety in this mix. Genre-wise I tend towards synth and goth (I wasn't kidding when I said I had a Morticia dress ), but I like some folk, some classical, some 80s hair bands, some Euro-pop-whatever Dru calls that stuff he listens to all day, ummm, and other stuff.
Artists that I am particularly fond of include: Ani Difranco, The Cure, Howard Jones, Indigo Girls, Delerium, and They Might Be Giants.
There was a time when I liked artists like NIN, but they just don't speak to me as much anymore. I don't like contemporary rap- some 80s old school rap, before being misogynistic was so predominant in rap. I also don't like country, although I did during high school. Those are about the only two genres that I don't like altogether.
Next?

It is said country music can cause a massive prolapse of the cranial tissue through all available orifices of the head. (As you can see, i can't stand the knee slappin, boot stompin', drink it from the tap music either. My apoligies to those who do enjoy it, or is that , my condolences? I can never remember.)

I guess my musical tastes seem to vary according to mood. Being a general muso, I pretty much appreciate the majority of output. The only things I can't listen to are 'World Music' sessions (bunch of people in tye-dye clothing pretending they're authentic) and reggae.
When it comes to my own output (I'm a songwriter and producer by profession), I'm on a bit of a retro 80's kick. All synthesisers and eyeliner, but I put stupidly meaty Nirvana/Green Day guitars underneath it. As the record label I was signed to has pretty much sunk, I'll get some webspace up so you lot can listen to the stuff.
In terms of favourite bands and artists, I'd go with the following:
Radiohead (possibly my favourite)
Muse
Damien Rice
Aphex Twin
Metallica
Green Day
The Used
Tool
Ash
Cooper Temple Clause
Electric Soft Parade
Kiss
Guns 'n' Roses
AC/DC
Foo Fighters
Nirvana
Can
JJ72
Manic Street Preachers
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Ataris
U2
Sisters of Mercy
The Cure
...and many, many others.
Interestingly, I caught Powerman 5000 on one of their first ever gigs. They supported Korn during the Life is Peachy UK tour a few years back and didn't really go down well. Needless to say, a then unsigned band came on stage and blew everyone away. Not sure where they are now, but I think the singer's name was something like Fred Durst...
So Shantara, how about that free birthday level up?

LOL. I told you, I'm not that kinda girl! Besides, if we all got free levels for birthdays, then I might actually catch up to Cpl and DD for about a day or so. But the singing offer still stands. I used to do that way back when...
I would love to hear your stuff, BTW. Let me know when it's up.

So how about a chorus group of DisastrousConsequences.com players? You can lead if you wish, Shantara, with the others providing a gospel choir backing behind you.
Let me get the microphone out for that one!

I'd love to hear your stuff too Ess-Jay, please let us know when it's up and running so those of us who truly love music can give it a listen! Also, I didnt see Modest Mouse or The Killers on your list and they both have a retro 80's sound. If you haven't heard them(I'm sure you have) give em a listen.

I bought the album by The Killers after repeatedly walking around singing "I''ve got soul but I'm not a soilder!" but haven't really listened to it yet. I like the first track also.
In terms of 80's sound, I guess I'm trying to achieve the production status of Duran Duran and Frankie Goes To Hollywood, but really rock them up. It invariably ends up sounding like New Order, but that isn't such a bad thing.
(that's me on the far left behind the keys)
