Here's some info I made (it's what I do)
If you want/need more info on how to read these, let me know.
Basically this data shows 81% of the maps can be downloaded or retrieved from one of the following;
1)Epic Games
2)MapRaider Downloads
3)Community Bonus Pack 2 (CBP2)
4)Community Bonus Pack 1 (CBP1)
5) Ulitmate Community Map Pack (UCMP)
This is just showing the number of each kind of map that is in DC's server map list.
This chart is showing the total number of votes per each map type. Each map type column is actually broken down into the map names, but because of the number you are dealing with, it's not worthwhile to show the legend =)
As you can see... we vote on Deathmatch maps more than any other. WAY more....
More useless info to come....

Oh yah
also broke down the most voted on Deathmatch Maps.
(only showing 100 votes or more)
Shouldn't let these be voted on anymore until the others catch up some =)

I'm really suprised to find that there's no more comments than that. Hehe...
Is it too complicated or just way too geeky?
I'd really like to have more info on the maps, but I guess DC doesn't keep stats anymore on all that stuff.
I enjoy doing this stuff. It's what I do for a living, but it's alot more data that I use

We can, but it doesn't seem worth the lag.

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

I can't look at charts or graphs anymore. I've had enough of those cursed things.

I understand it all, its just that what was needed to be said about has more or less already been explained by you on the first post.
I would however agree with you on the most played maps. The top 20 or so maps are starting to be chosen all the time, so it would be quite nice if, say, the top 10 or so maps couldn't be voted on for a while so the others could catch up.
I also think we have too many onslaught maps. I don't really have a problem with them, its just that they can take so much longer then other maps to download and most of the maps have only been played between 5 and 10 times. I could also say the same for assault maps, but they offer something a little more interesting then just randomly seeking and destroying as you have targets. I feel that we could get rid of a few of the unofficial onslaught maps and no one would miss them. I quite like playing vehicle invasion, but i don't like having to download a huge map for which i will probably only play once, if that. I would prefer to just have the official Epic onslaught maps.. personally.

I'd rather have ONS maps than AS maps. AS maps really suck for adrenaline junkies.... can't see your adrenaline!
Perhaps a solution is to change the sequence order? I mean... if you look, the maps that get picked most are those in the window when the Map Voting window first comes up. Be nice to try anyway.

I think the onslaught maps will begin to be played more now that dru has coded the monster mover. Or wait, maybe he is just considering it, but either way the more those maps are played the less they will have to be downloaded.

Very cool - I love graphs/charts and I just read this thread. Great work - graphs are very powerful. GG A!
