pets! they can be fun and add to gameplay interest. but i think there are some things that need considered..
first..is there a way to alter the game so that these pets don't show up as yellow dots? its frustrating trying to find enemies and come across someone's pet monster.
something else i think should be given thought are those with monster tongue ability and those that will have it in the future. the problem here is on those maps that are small or confined, usually 1-on-1 maps. one that comes to mind as annoying is oceanic...i remember seeing over 10 pets one time and it was so hard to get around and make out what is an enemy or the like o__o

the first problem, i'm sure there is a solution that may arise i the future. Your second problem doesn't sound like it would ever be resolved.

First Problem: A solution can be done, and has been done. Monster Manager has the Extreme Invasion gametype and in it pets are represented by a purple dot on the radar.
Extreme Invasion offers many improvements over the regular invasion with only a little more work required on the part of the admins to set it up the first time.

I contacted the creator of the monster manager to see if we can figure out a way to integrate his code without having to recompile the UT2004RPG core as well as DruidsRPG every time

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Yes it would be fantastic if every time he releases a new version of MM that he didn't have to make custom compiles of RPG and Druid each time for whatever reason they need to be made.
I think Mysterial heard about this but he said he doesnt know what part of RPG is incompatible with Extreme Invasion.

I havent heard anything back from him yet. I think it would be easy enough with the right tweaks.

Yes, I really really hope a solution can be found because as much as I want to upgrade to the new RPG or the 163 of your file I can't until MM 1.9 and the new compiles come out without breaking our Extreme Invasion setup.
Waiting can kill people.

The silly thing is that I'll be releasing a newer version than 163 soon

Yeah I knew that you would probably release a new version before MM1.9 hits.
*Still waiting on that*
This is why we need the fix for this. I cant even use the new stuff and newer stuff is coming out while I wait. LOL
