More types of monsters wanted!!!  XML

I notice that with the titans that there are two types. and lots of different skaarj and nali's. but i also notice we have only one type of warlord, mosquitos, green bugs, and flying fireball shooters (except for the big, big fireball shooter). so i'm wondering if this mod would be good.

it has the same monsters but they are colored to show that they are either more powerful or whatever. i think that instagib thing should not be in there, though. I notice that they may have monsters that do ice damage and etc. I think that added a few of these monsters, not meaning to have them as a majority during a wave, would be good to mix it up a bit. like on wave 12, instead of seeing a whole bunch of warlords, it would be nice to see maybe 1 or 2 boss warlords among the group. Of course its up to the admin to balance the monsters they way he/she chooses. same with wave 8, and seeing the same queens. more variety is always good.

my point is that it is nice to have alot of different monsters. and please dont mix that up with having alot more on the map. like all the different nali's, it makes me change my strategy depending on what kind is chasing me. you all can vote on this if you like.

or maybe add this mod too? not sure if you have it already. it says it adds U4E monsters to the game.

you have a really good idea there in my opinion, just keep the instagib thing though. with monsters with different power levels we could use a bit of an edge. about the monsters with ice powers and the like, maybe the admins could talk about creating a few new weapon abilities (like a weapon of heat to combat ice monsters, etc).

other than that, i find that you have a good idea here.

I know there is a monster mod that allows you to change monster attributes. they can always lower the hit points or the damage for the extra powerful types.

you know what would be really cool is to have a final wave 17 where everyone gets to kill each other off. hehe.

and the winner would get what? and what about those that died during wave 16, would they be brought back to life?

other than those 2 questions, it sounds like a really fun idea. druid and shantara, think you could look into this stuff?

well.. everyone would be brought back to life for wave 17 and what happens is you can award extra bonus exp based on how many people you killed and the level difference of the players.

but i'm just doing some wishful thinking. i would really like to see special monsters in the game though.

Hmmm....

After careful investigation (a split second thought) I have decided that I am all for this Mod.

If so strong in the force yoda is, construct sentences properly, why can he not?hhmmmm

Here's a mod that has the gas bags shooting link ammo. I think it's an add-on so we may be able to keep the old gas bags also.

Have you guys tried fhi? if not i suggest u download it and give it a try. And if u like it then go to my forums and install it my way and join my server right now i have a total of 114 monsters and 25 waves with everything from the green bugs to warlords that shoot demmers and ultima blasts and men with flakrifles, lightnining guns and nali with every weapon u have comming at u in from everywhere.

If u would like to try it out here is the link to my forums which has the links to the monsters and fhi files and instructions on how i need u to install it.

Why? What happened? except for the download thing it adds in nicely with invasion i think anyway.

Well from what I know of it (and the things I have rumored from here and other places) it was to glitchy, way to expolitable. the men with guns also have the same "glitch" as the Nali have. (I do know how to fix it, but to me that would ruin the Nali) and Druid want this server to be dail-up freindly

The main reasons why FHI went away:

1) Most of the maps were *highly* exploitable.
2) It was a huge drain on the processor (especially once you get up to 20 players on the server).
3) It did not require any strategy, and thus got boring very quickly. Once the novelty wore off, I think only one of the contributors still liked it (sorry Tri .

and, of course, the download time.

while more monsters would be a good thing for game intensity and xp building, i think it is something to consider for real in the future. as more people gain super loaded weapons, we're going to see over 15 or more redeemer blasts go off during a wave series, probably killing away many monsters and leaving fewer around for those who don't have such weapons. also, i am sure kills by those with summon pets also will contribute to a decrease, as more people go for monster tongue ability
