no music please?

I was playing winamp and tried to voice chat with mic/headphones, voip, got a no music please, could u guys hear that w/o speakers? wouldn't that have to be a background sound?

yep, we can hear the music when that is done. The sound card outputs the music to all channles of the card itself, so ut will put it out as a transmission along with your voice. Infact, the music is output in a higher volume, so alot of the time it can dround out your voice.

There's a simple solution to this - UT has its own inbuilt mp3 player.

Hit F11 during game to bring up the player. Add whatever tracks from your harddrive that you want, and away you go. It only plays mp3 files though, so that collection of WMA cd rips you have won't be much good.

the thing has some bugs, tho. volume in particular gets screwey between tracks, and sometimes playlists get stuck. besides that, its a nice feature.

Volume depends on both the encoding method used to create the individual tracks, or the artists recording method. If you rip all your own music then you're guaranteed to get some sort of consistency, but will always find some degree of variation between tracks. I'm with you on the 'sticking' though - some MP3's just refuse to play.

Boondock Saints will always have its place in pop culture history.
Tidbit: Did you know that the movie was postponed from being released in the US for over a year. Supposedly this was based on the reason that the brothers wear "long dark jackets" in the movie and the "movie auditors" thought that it would resemble to closely the attire worn by the "trench caot mafia" kids that were involved in the school shootings here in the US. Don't know if its a true reason why the movie was held back but just a little piece of useless information that may win you over a million dollars one day on some trivia game show.
