Ideas for new mall-themed map

Yeah, those apple spoofs are pretty sweet. Regarding the preorder bonus it could just as well be characters. When I was making it I was thinking about the Bayonetta and other (usually japanese) games that sell the crazy DLC outfits.

Regarding DC names, I'm going to try to include others, but I want the shop names to be something everyone would get, not just DC regulars. I may just do untamed subs though, that's hilarious.

oooh really nice... hey if you can finish the map before the next build might i suggest putting banners in the mall (usually banners inside contain store price discounts), but instead something like "subclasses now available", "new parts, better upgrades"... you know these are just examples... but I bet you guys can come up with something more imaginative.

Oh and since it seems people are being immortalized in this mall

... i hope its not too much to ask, if i could also have a part in the mall. Something like security

I just noticed what you were asking about replacing colors, Flak. I've done exactly that a lot of times when making skins, and to be honest it can be harder than it looks, especially if you're only changing certain colors in an image. There are a bunch of different techniques you can use, it's really just figuring out which method is most effective.

For example in the above image I needed to change the color of both the door image and Harlequin. I started with the door by going to image > adjustments > Hue/Saturation and changing the slider to what I wanted. This of course changed the entire door image. I moved this into my 512 x 512 image, along with the extracted image of Harlequin. In a layer above both I set up an adjustment layer and chose a pink to yellow gradient map and blend mode: color. I set this to 85% opacity so not to completely drown out the original hues, but still make them consistent. On the logo I took from your image, I duplicated it into several layers to with different blend mode effects, including color overlay until it looked the way I wanted.

Those are just the techniques I used in that image. I could have also used the selective color replacer, match color or many other options. Probably the toughest thing to do (or at least figure out initially) is how to change color on just one part of the image, especially if that color appears in other parts of the image that you don't want to change. Working with layers is the key thing here. You can make a new layer and start painting over all of the parts you want to change. Then use the various blending and color changing techniques you want which will only affect the part you painted over. Another method is duplicating the layer then extracting the sections you want to change. A bit more time consuming, but sometimes necessary.

Since they use just the logo as the only form of ID of the store, the we shall use this image....add glow and transparent the black

Couldn't think of a good spin off of a jewelry store, but I could with a diamond company.

I personally think a candy shop is necessary! Filled with Adren for us Junkies =)

Candy store it is! Will be called The Candy Cavity. Just waiting to get a few images together, but it's pretty much mocked up.

Road, I think the app images are too small for any detail to show bullets raining down...tho I like the idea...

I'm thinking more of a S&M vibe, like with a whip or cuffs or something. I'll come up with something. I'm doing similar with the Victor's Secret shop, giving it a dungeon-like look - and yes there will be a secret.

The DeBeers and Apphole ads look great.

if ya gonna make a candy shop it JUST have to be a see's candy shop the got the best!
