As everybody can see on the game server I have the "[OMNI]" tag in front of my nick. This stands for Omnipotents, where I´m registered on the forums, too. Most time I played Onslaught on Omnipotents before I come to this server. It´s very interesting to play Onslaught on Omnipotents because they have edited maps and more tanks and other vehicles that you can´t find on other ONS-Servers.
The Omnipotents has arranged now a little competition called "OCMOTv2". The tourney starts on 5th April and the matches are at weekends. Everybody can play there but first you must sign-up on the Omni-Forums. We need more people for the competition. If there are interests to play, please register on the Omni-Forum.---> http://www.omnipotents.com/
and Sign-Up that you want to play ----> http://forum.omnipotents.com/showthread.php?t=11232
Thanks for your attention!

I used to play on that server quite a bit, always thought it was the best onslaught server(although sometimes hard to get onto - very busy)
That was of course before I got playing INV, regretfully my onslaught skills have diminished....

OK! the time is getting closer because the sign-up thread will be closed at this wednesday.
Since I play here at "DisastrousConsequences" I have seen much skilled players. I also looked at the players that signed up for the tourney and realize that most of them are newbees. I want to say: You dont have to be a very good ONS-Player to sign-up, just let us have this fun.
For players need more informations about the tourney before register @omnipotents I´ve copied the announcement text here:

Omnip)o(tentS Custom Map Onslaught Tournament v2.0
The Omnip)o(tentS are pleased to announce our second sponsored onslaught tournament.

Overview:
The OCMOTv2 is a mixer tournament open to all UT players. Competing players will be divided into teams, for which they compete for the duration of the tournament. Matches will be played 8v8, as the best of three custom ONS maps, on private servers which the Omnip)o(tentS will provide.

The tournament will start with a league stage to determine seedings, and so that every team plays several matches; followed by a knock-out stage to find the tournament winners.

This will be a chance for players to become more familiar with our UT community, as well as the chance to experience more competitive matches, with better organised teamwork than can be found on public servers.

Match Times:
Matches will be held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons/evenings starting on Saturday the 5th April, at the following time:

2:00pm Pacific Time (PDT / GMT-7) e.g. Los Angeles
3:00pm Mountain Time (MDT / GMT-6) e.g. Denver
4:00pm Central Time (CDT / GMT-5) e.g. Chicago
5:00pm Eastern Time (EDT / GMT-4) e.g. New York
(note: the east coast of North America uses Eastern Standard Time (EST / GMT-5) in the winter and Eastern Daylight Time (EDT / GMT-4) in the summer. "EDT" is not a typo.)
10:00pm Western Europe (BST / WEST / GMT+1) e.g. London
11:00pm Central Europe (CEST / GMT+2) e.g. Paris

Matches can be expected to last up to 2 hours. Teams will play at least one but likely 2 matches per week for a few weeks (depending on how many players sign up and hence how many teams there are).

The Schedule will only show the pairs of maps to be played. The Home team will choose a map from the first pair to be played. The second map will be picked by the winning team of the first map and will be from the second pair. If a third map is necessary, the winner of the second map will choose from the third pair.

"I want to play":
If you wish to play in this tournament, please read the rest of this post carefully before you post in the sign-up thread. Please note the times that the matches will be played. Players who sign up now, but later drop out (without good reason) will not be looked kindly on.

Unless you are reasonably confident that you will be able to play in the majority of the matches, then please DO NOT sign-up to compete. While it is expected that everyone will need to miss a small number of matches due to real-life commitments; any players regularly missing matches, can not expect to be welcome in any future Omnip)o(tent sponsored event and, by your team captain's decision, you may find your position in the team taken by a replacement player.

Those players who wish to play some part in the tournament, but are aware that they will not be able to attend regularly may sign-up as a substitute. Be aware that if you do sign-up as a substitute, you are not guaranteed to play in any matches - you can only play if a team is short of players for a particular match.

Lastly, on a case-by-case basis we will be accepting guest teams from outside our community. These teams must have 10-14 players and mainly consist of players not regularly seen on our ONS servers. These teams will compete normally but are disqualified from winning any prizes of cash value and may be expelled from the tournament at any time for misconduct.

Rules:
MATCHES
Best of 3 maps;
10 minute rounds;
For each match the first team ("home team") listed in the schedule will play as the red team for the entire match;
Destroying the powercore within normal time gains 2 points. Winning in overtime only yields 1 point;
Map score limit of 2 points (note, this may be different to what you are used to on public servers);
Match times are NOT negotiable. You must be able to meet those times in order to reduce confusion and keep schedules intact;
Matches start no later than 15 minutes past the start time. There will be no "can we wait another 5 minutes for so and so to load up". If you are waiting for a late player, tough! Play without them or forfeit.
Every team member joining the game server/team speak server by the start of the match MUST play in at least one of the first two maps. If the match goes to a deciding map, then team captains are free to pick their best line-ups;
All spectators must be signed in as "Coach";
If a team only has 6 or 7 players show up then they will be allocated a substitute. Substitutes will be chosen by the opposing team captain, from the pool available. If no substitutes are available, then the team(s) lacking players must play a man (or 2) down (e.g. 6 players playing against 8 players);
If a team have less than 6 players (i.e. 1-5) show up, then they FORFEIT the match;
The decision of the admin in charge of a match is final.
CAPTAINS
Every team will have a captain whose responsibility it is to organize his/her team, they...;
Must take screenshots at the end of each map showing the scores, and post these to the appropriate thread on the forum;
Must PM Pi weekly with Names of MVP(s) from opposing teams they faced that week.
Will be responsible for scheduling practices, requesting subs for matches, and participating in map selection
May request a map-pause for 5 minutes - limit 5 pauses for the entire duration of the tourney & league and a maximum of 1 per map. However, admins are not required to oblige the request and should not be expected to have 'reflexes of pwn' initiating a game pause. Captains will note all pauses initiated by either team and include them in their weekly PM to Pi.
NEGATIVITY
Excessive chatter in the general chat during the match will result in a kick from that map. The team will play a person down. We have voice servers for a reason, and UT has teamsay for communication. If there are issues, direct questions to the captain and admin(s);
Taunts binded to movements may result in a kick from the map until the binds are removed;
All usual Omnip)o(tents server rules apply, and will be enforced by admins;
This should be obvious, but if you have anyone aliasing as your team member or anything of the sort, your team will automatically forfeit the match and may be expelled from the tournament;
Any person found to abandon their team in a match due to non-emergency reasons will be given the forum rank "QUITTER" and/or other insults. Don't leave a map early because you are losing. If your time is so special, don't play in the match;
Game Pauses are limited to 5- going over that limit will result in forfeit of the match.
MISC
Please please please show up; double and triple check the schedules posted. If you cannot play in a match, then you must let your captain know beforehand;
Participants must have access to these forums and check them for updates to the tournament periodically;
Players banned from these forums and/or our servers will not be eligible;
Each team will be provided with a private, password protected, channel on our Team Speak 2 server for in-game communication;
If the server crashes when one team is clearly dominating (e.g. control of all nodes and/or a powercore advantage of >50) then that team is awarded a victory of 1 point (even if it looked like they would win easily within normal time). Otherwise the round is replayed. The admin in that particular match decides what "clearly" means.
If a particular map is causing the server to crash repeatedly, then another map from the maplist above will be substituted in for it. Captains will take turns to pick one of the available maps they don't wish to play, until only one map is left. All points earned on the previous map are discarded.
In the event of a tie in the standings, the team which the highest points difference will get the higher seeding;In the event of a tie in the standings, the team which the highest points difference will get the higher seeding;
Mini Tourney
There will be a 1 week break between League play and the final Ladder competition. On that weekend teams will participate in a mini tourney consisting solely of 16v16 maps and teams paired based on their Seeding.
