The game seems to be almost identical to the computer version. Just a little slower.

Absolutely beautiful on 42 inches of plasma........Mouse and Keyboard support seems to be flawless.

More after I play more!

I have some play time in now. The game is slower and somehow deadlier than the PC version.

I am currently using a special controller made for the PS3 and FPS play. Split fish I think that its called the frag fx. It is a mouse for one hand and half of the standard PC controller for the other. the game detects it just like a controller so you can actually use it on maps that have keyboard and mouse banned.

After checking out all 3 types of controls, the Frag FX definitly gives an unfair advantage on maps that only allow controllers.

I have not been able to check both versions of the game back to back on the same map to check the visual quality but in warfare my PS3 version seems to run a little smoother than the computer, with the note that the game is tuned down in speed a bit. The computer version has a more fast paced "mayhem" quality.

Both versions are fun, the visuals are of a high quality, slightly gritty cast.

Maps that only allow controllers? Eeew! I have never been able to play FPS's on a console platform due to the unnatural feel of the controller (for me anyway - I'm a mouse/keyboard player) so this Frag FX controller may change that - thanks!

UT 3 on the PS 3 has full mouse and keyboard support. It was part of what interested me in that version in the first place.

I play consoles because there are games I like that do not come out for the PC. Some games types are easier to play with friends over in front of a tv than they would be on a computer over the internet.

Honestly comparing what my consoles cost, my PC is more expensive over time, and I own just about every console type.

Ok, after some more play on both versions I have come to several more conclusions. these may seem self evident but I did not think that it would be so pervasive.

1. the average computer player seems to be both more skilled and more mature about both winning and losing a match.

2. the different sprees and awards seem to be easier to get on the computer, on the PS3 the game play is slowed down, but they have not adjusted the timing on the kill sprees, so they are much harder to get.

I have fiddled around more with the controls on the Frag FX. adjusted the sensitivity etc. my final score for its use 85% its not what I would call perfect, but for only 12 bucks more than the regular PS 3 controller it is a wonder. I would have been willing to pay much more for some more functionality i.e. some programmable buttons or for a game pad and mouse combo rather than the "chuck" and mouse combo.

If you plan to do FPS gaming with a console, this is one of the best ways to go. the reason that I say this is that the Frag FX has adjustable sensitivity right on the controls, you do not have to go into an application or the x menu bar to make an adjustment. most other mice you do.

I've looked at reviews of that controller and it seemed that a lot of people didn't like it very much. I know it is an opinion, but I think it would be nice to be able to try it out first. I have a hard time playing FPS games with the PS3 controller as well. UT3 looks like it would be fun on the PS3, but I would like to be able to play on this server. Unfortunately, my computer won't run it.

As an FYI, you wont be able to connect to the DC server with the PS3 version. Apparently the only way to host a PS3 game is with a PS3 itself.

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Yup, can't play cross platforms on that game. There are a couple of games that will play cross platform with the Xbox 360 and a PC, from what I've read. Nothing that I know of with the PS3, though.
