A clarification. A few people have suggested that weapon records (most kills with weapon x) should be completed without the use of the triple. I have also heard this about the high score table. FWIW, my first score of 2201 was accomplished without a triple until a later wave, either 13 or 15, don't remember.
If there was a way to know whether or not a person used a triple or not, I would not be opposed to this idea, necessarily. By the same token, a +5 shock is different from a plain shock. So that may be a point of contention, too. Or a null mini vs a plain mini.
The fact is, there's no practical way to know these things that I'm aware of. If you go by the "honor" system, people will always look at a good record and say "I bet he cheated and used a triple or a globe". The only way for the record to be as fair and meaningful as possible is to let people use all the tools available to them.

I totally agree.
I don't see how you can police such restrictions in that respect, why are people even suggesting that players can't employ any means available to them?

You know, with all the 2000+ scores, my little 820 isn't that impressive I guess ...

Updated - had a 900 pt game, and added stats:

Highest actual score is still a VINV map at 981.
Oh yeah - I think for sure that's my first "1st Place" finish.

Full server. No triple, no globe and I didn't grab the DD once. Sturdy 4 flak.

Yet another update: 924.
This was the first time in my memory that:
I was first and we won.
I was first and I was alive.
I lived through all 16 waves.
First "Godlike" too.

This score brought to you by a flak 5 and a vorp 10 avril. I had a triple but it actually didn't get much use.

Agreed. You've been improving quite a bit lately and the fact you survived through all the waves to get the godlike is impressive. Soon you'll get wicked sick, and then you join the rest of us in the elusive quest for the "FroLike".

No offense, but "Frolike" is just a step in the journey to "DDlike".

I thought "DDlike" was only a myth.
