Well I just purchased an ibook by Macintosh and am planning on partitioning it to be able to run windows as well. I'm wondering if anyone else has a mac laptop for one, and secondly if you have run UT off of it using windows? Being a student allows me to get Window's very cheap so I'm looking forward to using both aspects on the laptop.

MACS..................gag. gag. gag..............Just kidding. I don't think that any Macintosh based computer using OSX will support any Microsoft based software without an emulator program, even if you do partition the hard drive and load 98/XP on it.

hmmm, I'm not all that technical, I will be eventually. A friend from across the hall partitianed his and runs WoW on it, so I am hoping UT will be ok. It is using the new intel chip, so I think it should work.... hopefully . Oh and yeah I had a long debate whether to get a mac or not

Macs are good for a lot of graphic-based apps and print operations. With the new intel chips, there may be better cross-over of different os platforms.

I'm no mac pro, but Boot Camp was released a few months ago that lets you run windows on a mac, and it was made by Apple. I think the official name is going to be Parallels when it's released fully, not sure. Try searching the apple site for Boot Camp.

Parallels is a different project that is supposed to allow you to run Windows apps on OS X (as opposed to rebooting into Windows to run Windows programs).
Boot Camp is the safer route now though.

If it's got the horsepower, it should run it just fine.

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

The video card shouldn't be much of an issue on the newer laptops
