The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Just curious if this is happening to any one else, or if my settings are messed up. I have all cookies allowed for dc.com, and as it is my home page, I could use the "log me in automatically each visit" check and I was ok. Now, even with that checked, I have to log in each time and the forums/messages I have already read show up as unread each time I log back in. Is that what is supposed to be or am I missing something?

I did have to log in again after the upgrade, but just once ... I'd say toast all your cookies and review your allows/denies. If you're using Firefox and the DC domain is set to "Allow for session", that would explain the behavior you're seeing. However, one would expect that if *that* were the case, you would have to have logged in every time before the upgrade as well ...

I think Bot is right. It's probably a broken cookie on your machine. I'm not seeing it anywhere.

I'm going to have to locally archive that post.
Dru - something to report back to the programmer ...
Not so sure I like how quote text is working out now - particularly if you include a previously quoted message as well, as it will pop up a horizontal scroll bar. Example:
Someone wrote:
You lie!

I can't figure out in the page source how this is happening perse - I can only guess it's some kind of CSS issue with how browsers are being instructed to treat "blockquote" tags.

It does look wild in Firefox 1.5.0.5 though. I just reported it to Rafael.

Yeah sorry I didn't specify - Firefox diehard here; at work, I have little choice really (I'm on a Mac).

I seem to be getting a similar problem. I have connected about 5 times today, and each time I have had to enter my usename and password, despite having ticked the box. I must admit that each time has been on a different PC to the previous time.

maybe set the overflow for blockquote in the css to none?
Works fine in opera though, firfox gets weird with overflows and sometimes percents.

It *does* appear that there is a restriction about the computer you're logging in from - as I read both at home and at work, and my home computer had to revalidate this afternoon, after I validated at work.
