Greetings everyone...

Here's the latest changes.

Weapons Masters:

New Skill, Enhanced Damage Bonus

Cumulative 1% damage bonus per level, max level of 10.

Medics:

New Skill, Enhanced Damage Reduction

Cumulative 4% damage reduction per level, max level of 10.

Balancing tweaks:

Double Modifier cannot be used and will deactivate if the player has a double damage.

Triple Damage cannot be used in combination with Vorpal or Rage.

Double Modifier will switch to whichever weapon is active, similar to tripple damage.

Bug Fixes:
Monster Points work now.

This is approacing the 2.0 release, probably next build.

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

A sort of stupid question, but does cumulative mean 1+1+1+1... or 1+2+3+4... in this case? I would think the former, but you can never be too sure.

From Merriam Webster:
cumulative: increasing by successive additions

In other words, for the first level you receive 4%, the second level you receive 4%+4%, and so on.

Is the enhanced DB stacked with the existing damage bonus? Or is it an additional percent applied to total dmg output?

Example: Wave 16 with lowest player at level 20 using a plain flak (base dmg = 110).

Difference between 80 DB and 90 DB:

110* 1+ ((80-129.5)/200)) = 82.775
110* 1+ ((90-129.5/200)) = 88.275

Difference between 80 DB and 10% increased total dmg:

110* 1+ ((80-129.5)/200)) = 82.775
1.1*[110* 1+ ((80-129.5)/200))] = 91.05

Here's the info I have from Mysterial on when this call is made:

Therefore these apply after the other math has been done, so they are somewhat multiplicative against that math, and therefore may be able to do or reduce additional damage you wouldn't normally be able to do.

So, if you have a -4 flak, it multiples the negative affect. All in all, I prefer that.

Nope, just damage bonus/damage reduction. Even if the weapon damage happens before, it doesn't affect the weapon's modifier, just the total damage, so you still do more damage.

I see now. On second thought, what I wrote in that last post doesn't really make sense.

No. We feel the classes are balanced to the way we want them to be.

Do not hijack this thread.
