wave 16 risk and reward both seems too low.

wave 6 is too easy as well...replace titans with warlords. We don't need two levels of titans only. Level 14 should be the titan level.

This is my opinion so dont flame me personally if you dont like it but feel free to disagree and support your argument in a calm and cool matter.

Thanks.

Wave 16 is just fine. The reward seems just fine, don't want it too high or people will level just from having everyone else win the match.

And as for the wave 6 bit...that would get rid of two titan waves... and give us two warlord waves. So we'd still have a duplicate wave, one would still be harder than the other...

The titans are tougher on 14 than 6, but imagine if you threw a few warlords in there, too. That would be pretty insane.

There are two types of titans and if I'm not mistaken, they have different stats (if not, I'm sure someone will graciously enlighten me) so wave 14 could be exclusive to the harder titans...

As far as the reward, it would mess with the level/XP progression of the server if it was set much higher - I always thought of it as just a token rather than a full reward.

If you are referring to the Titan and Stone Titan found in satoreMonsterPack then no. The only difference is the skin they have. The code merely extends the original Titan class and changes the skin.

I agree with 320 here i say on wave 6 through in some warlords with the titans now that would be nice...wave 16 dood is right you up the stakes then other people will let others win the match for them.....

Thanks V0rTex - I really thought (and felt?) that the stone titans were harder to kill... not sure where I got the idea, maybe it was because they only show up in the higher waves.

It is possible to set up the satore monster pack to make stone titans harder to kill by increasing their health, but that is something Druid would have to manually enter. By default they are the same.

Wave 6 is good for the low lvl players, it gives them a lot of exp... unlike wave 14, I remember when I was a low lvl, and I was um, dead. Don't forget the new people, like MandaPanda, she'd never have a chance. I know some of us can handle it, probably, but we've gotta keep it interesting for them too. Who wants to sit there and watch the waves for that little extra exp? Remember when you started off and sat there saying bad words. (I have to hear her all the time, and she gets mad when I laugh)

oooo, what about a random wave 17 if we win, not every game, just once in awhile, total chaos no exp bonus, it'd keep it tough for high lvl's. I believe it would be awesome, "you have won the match" then sometimes we respawn, maybe a red message like "hell wave", everyone would jump if not have a heart attack... we already get the community player's good luck for wave 16, um hummm... Anyone agree?

Yeah, the idea of a boss round has been tossed around. I'm all for it.

As you pointed out in your other post, if the waves get *too* tough, then it becomes boring for low levels. No one wants to sit on the sidelines for several waves in a row.

I know I'm going to light some fire by saying this but ...

I am, I think most would agree, not a low level player. And, for as good as Blade is ...

If you're on with Blade during an ONS map (yes, the dreaded ONS map - even the small one(s) like primevil), and you have a rough wave 14, you can spend over 10 minutes just sitting there watching Blade run around the map trying to kill/outlast all the Titans.

10 minutes. Or more. Your average wave should not last much more than 3 minutes ... I've been on a fair number of maps we've won in roughly 30 minutes - that's less than two minutes a wave.

It wouldn't be so bad if there was at least one other person surviving to watch, or if it actually looked like he was making headway when he hit a titan a couple of times (no slam on Blade - this is just the way it is when a high level/high DR player is the last one on). But one of the few times I've left a map before the end of the map was when Blade was running around trying to kill (or run away from, depending on the situation) 40+ Titans.

I've been to other servers wehere is customary to commit honorable suicide if you are the last one alive and it is taking (or will take) a long time to complete. It is more fun to start a new map than to watch someone for 10 minutes, I agree...

However, the point about lower levels is also important since one already does a fair amount of spectating as a lower level. Just my two cents: the waves are fine as they are - and although the tougher titans on wave 14 (thanks v0rTeX for explaning if/how this could be accomplished) would be fun, it would just increase the risk of the dreaded long-wave-14 syndrome.

I've played on Vortex' server, and it is a self-described "advanced RPG" server. As a low level, you can last the first four waves. After that, you will die nearly instantly (one or two shots to die). Then, you're sitting on the sidelines for a LONG time. Thus, I always play to wave 4 and then leave. That's the danger of making things too tough.
