"The medium itself reminds the viewer of how fleeting all things are yet there is a certain... melancoly quality as well, perhaps reflecting the sterility or impersonal nature we associate with technology. Like old friends who perhaps were never close to begin with but nonetheless say their goodbye, going through the motions out of obligation but really feeling not much at all. Yes, yes a genuine sense of longing and sadness, not for loss of friendship but because it never was, and how quickly the feeling fades, almost a sense of relief for both parties. Truly, truly brilliant.
