***Notice*** These are not really rules, more like advice (though not always practical) ***Notice***
This idea came out of a conversation that happened one day on the server. Let's just see how many rules we can come up with.
Rule #1: always have enough health to take 2 strikes from a shield gun nali (I forget who came up with it)
Rule #2: avoid being hit by shield gun nalis
Let the posting of made-up rules begin.

Rule #3: Just because you shoot a Titan with a LG, it doesn't mean he won't toss a rock at your face.
Rule #4: Don't use mines to take care of enemies that are closer than 5 feet to you.

Rule #6: Titans descend stairs faster than you. don't backpeddle, you'll get squished, even if you are nowhere near their feet. Just jump to the side.

Rule #7: If precise aim is not something you can manage don't try hitting anything smaller than a titan with a shock rifle. Who cares if youve got a vamp +5 shock, if you can't hit anything with it?

Rule #8: Always be sure nobody is about to be standing right in front of you when you let a nuke fly.
Rule #9: Some holes aren't meant to be fallen into. Bad things may happen. When in doubt, wait for me to fall into it before trying. It will happen sooner or later (even on the bad ones).

rule #10: if you don't use the radar in titan levels, you will die.
rule #11: queens do more damage than titans up-close; nalis are worse than both. stay away from them.
rule #12: transloc will be broken by the time you need to use it, check that it's working, often.

Rule #13: Remember that titan rocks use a spacial phase drive and have both a navigation system and cloaking field. When you least expect it, they will manage to appear out of nowhere, go through things and follow you to nail you when you were so certain you were safe!
Rule #14: You may be able to survive a single titan rock, but when was the last time you saw just one??
Correlary #1: Titan rocks often tow other titan rocks behind them!

Rule #15: On wave 16, the only thing worth using a Flak cannon on are Titans. Everything else (and occasionally Titans too) will dodge anything slower than a Mini, unless wedged into a hall or doorway.
Note that after a couple of mini rounds hit them, most wave 16 monsters may dodge.
Rule #16: Your starting health, no matter how high it is, is insufficient to keep you alive through wave 8. Find the keg, get vamp (and regen), something to get you higher (and keep bringing you back up in health). Medics will work exceptionally well for this purpose.
Corollary 16.1: When seeking a Medic's assistance due to low health issues, regen (especially level 2, doubly so when vampirism is also available) will have you at your starting health (and thus seemingly out of danger) by the time you find said medic. It may require some convincing of said Medic that you still need their assistance.
Rule #17: Rage Weapons, while wonderful items, require some sort of balance. One suggestion is to use a vamp mini with a rage flak, and watch your health carefully. Be sure to apologize to generous medics, as they will not get xp for healing you up from rage based damage.
Corollary 13.1: Dealing fatal damage to the individual in front of you does not prohibit a Titan's rock from dealing fatal damage to you as well.

Rule #19: When flying the Deemer around, particularly between waves, don't forget where your body is. Reason being that you don't want to bomb the first monster you see with it when you just happen to be standing right next to him.

Rule#20 when lagging avoid rocket launchers, yes, you can run past your own rockets and be hit by them.
as an aside, I am the only player I know that has scored a headshot on myself with the lightning gun, to become godlike and end my own killing spree! I love my ISP!
