Auto Join Server Question

Hey guys, when I click on enter the game on the new's site I join as a spectator, I get the same thing with 3rd party connect software. I know there's a way to make a desktop icon to load unreal and join a specific server. That's how I had it a few months ago before I lost my broadband. If anyone knows the parameters I'd appreciate it.

Hey Chyster, I used your info and I still connected as a spect, is there some setting I'm missing here?

Did ya do this part on page two of the above link?

This similar thing happened to me many many moons ago when I first joined the server. I hit join as spectator by accident and it just wouldn't let me on to play. I tried everything in game to join as a player to no avail, so I ended up reading through my .ini file and somewhere in there is a line that says spec mode or something similar with a 1 next to it. I changed it to 0 and saved the ini and it has been fine ever since. (give it a shot, but becarful messin with the .ini, or you might end up with an outi. [sorry about that , couldn't be helped

] Any way, make a copy of the ini file before you change it and put it in a safe place so you can replace it if you have too.)
