Not that I'm biased or anything, but more people should certianly see this...
As for favourite horror film, I'd personally have to go with any of the following:
The Haunting of Hill House
Evil Dead
Cannibal Holocaust
Dawn of the Dead - 1978
28 Days Later
Maniac
Suspiria
Zombi
Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
Beyond the Darkness
Society
Ju-On
There are just far too many to mention!

I know it's sick, but the chicken scene never fails to make me burst out laughing at the sheer absurdity. It certainly puts imagery to the phrase 'running around like a headless chicken'. BOOM BOOM!
And as for the ending song 'Jesus Doesn't Live Here Anymore'....

The Cube
The Crow is a classic but not really a horror is it?
Rosemary's Baby...horror but really i dont recommend..i hated it :-/
well thats all i can think of for now...
I saw The Changling--that was a very good movie.
I would like to see The Innocents; it's supposed to be good, but I don't know anyone who's seen it.
I'm sorry you didn't like Rosemary's Baby. I really liked it a lot. I'm not sure it's scary, but I think it's a great movie. It seemed very realistic to me in a way that most movies aren't.

Woots on The Changeling, Pyro. That movie was the best in suspense; although it was a slow starter, almost lethargic, it really cranked it up in the last 2/3. Two other fav's for me
The Sixth Sense
Stir of Echoes
Both great movies.
And of course, The Shining. Timeless.
All of the above are guarunteed to raise your hackles, and make you leave the lights on at bedtime.

ok, how can you NOT like Napoleon???? don't tell me you don't think he is the least bit funny. You had to have laughed at SOME point during that movie!
"whoa! you got like 3 feet of air off that one, can I try real quick?"

Nobody said Hellraiser yet? The first three scared the crap out of me when I was a kid and I couldn't sleep properly for days after watching them. Hellraiser II was probably the creepiest of the whole series. It takes place around a mental institution and the scene with the hallucinating patient is disturbing and disgusting enough to make your barf (if the whole skin stealing thing didn't already). The later sequels though... bleh.
Among the others...
Silence of the Lambs
Village of the Damned
Candyman
The Fly (the part where she sees her baby being born was plain sick)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the 'Exorcist'. That's the only scary movie I've tried to watch alone and couldn't finish it. *shudders* Ew.... 'The Ring' was pretty creepy as well. Has anyone seen the 2nd? Your thoughts?
Most of them just aren't that creepy. 'The Shining' was good. I thought White Noise was awful. I'm sorry Michael Keaton did that movie. Some of Stephen King's movies are pretty decent, I'm not sure the Green Mile falls into the horror category, but I loved that one. 'It' was horrid. Ick, I HATED that movie (loved the book), along with the Blair Witch Project.
I like the older horror movies. House on Haunted Hill with Vincent Price was pretty good. The older Frankenstein. (Good book too!) Oooo! I kinda liked Final Destination too.
What? No Child's Play?

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO what a ride!"
