Quick little bug

Since yesterday-ish, the "current game" link on the front page, which displays the info on the current game (who's playing, level's, points, etc.), not the enter link, has been stuck on the same thing. 18 players on Avaris.

Also, the "player stats" on the main page has not been updated. I've gained almost 3k xp and it hasn't updated. I know it doesn't EVERY minute, but it's been stuack on the same for a day or two.

Conflict/bug with druids rgp 1.77 maybe?? (or whatever the new version is)

Yep I noticed this too. I guess the code that polls the server for it's info must be on a Christmas vacation.

I'll kick it over tomorra when we restart the server.

ahah i didnt notice that i was just thinking to my self. wow the must really like that map.. And wow taking kidna long for that map

Eenh, that's what happens when the server is down for maintenance, or if the server is switching maps when you view the page.

We should ban the Bad queryString players, I never liked them.

LOL he's right. Well, It looks like if dru doesn't want people on the server, putting "VehicleInvasion" on there is a good idea

Yup, kept me off for 6 hours until I started noticing a pattern....

Here's what ya can do until the bug is fixed.

First, get the direct link icon on your desktop. Its on this forum in another thread. Do this by:

1) Right click desktop
2) then New
3) then Shorcut

Paste this url in the command line ut2004://disastrousconsequences.com/

Second, don't use the front page to peep when its empty enough to come in. If you haven't gotten the DC server into favorites in the game, do that and refresh once in awhile to see if you can come in.

Third, Dru is a very busy man and I am almost positive that he is aware of the issue and will get to it when he can.

I've tried this, but it always loads me in spectator mode, which isn't much help. I've learned it's a bug specific to me and it's not server side. Gotta find out what's goin' on with that.

I don't peep to check scores, I peep to see if it's even empty or not.

Yes he is. Not only do I understand that he has his own life, but with the excellent job that is done on this server between he and others I'm sure this will be fixed. I'm just pretty sure that he goes straight through the link too and might not use the front page.

I had this problem too, and the same thing happened when I entered from the ENTER THE GAME link on the site, but it doesn't happen anymore. Maybe it was fixed in the last patch?

Yes it will send ya to spectator mode if the server is full. And as for looking to see if the server is full, I always do that in game, in my favs (I only have one) and I can control that somewhat (refresh).

Oh, and la_bomba, you didn't offend. Just trying to be helpful and often come off gruff with my 'matter of fact' type of mentality, which incidentally is unintended. So maybe I owe you the apology

There is a sure fire way to stop all this. I got a reserved slot shortly after discovering the server as I couldn't stand to suffer as you guys apparently are. Ya might think differently than I do, but it is definitely worth it to me.

it's broke again.. been broke since this past weekend.
