Thats happened to me before too back when i was on a measly level 24. I've also seen a glitch on BR-Bifrost where a titan skin got stuck in walking mode in one place. The waves carried on as normal but the titan was still there. You couldn't kill it with anything. Unusual... I've never seen this in any other server.
