Well, I'm about ready to take my next exam. 70-294 Planning, Implementing & Maintaining an Active Directory infrastructure. Some say this is an easy one...other say not so much. I guess it depends on where you went to learn and the material you get. So, that automatically places me into the "disadvantaged" category.

I will take it next week I think. I need to pass this on the first try (as always) so I can get my last class scheduled. Last class. I like the sound of that. I will definitely celebrate when it's all over. Then I can look for a j... J....J,J,J....hang on.. J.. Joooooooo. Joooooooo... (dang it) JOB! Ok there! I said it.

Actually, I was going to put this in another thread, but why complicate things...

I have been looking for work ever since I completed my last class. I figured it would take me a while before I would find one, so might as well start getting my name out there early. Well, I was contacted by one place so far.. 1 phone interview and a face to face one just yesterday and I may have an offer placed to me next week. Now the bad news...its 62 miles away. That's an hour commute each way and 1/3 a tank of gas equating to $70 a week (there bouts) and the position maxes out at what I left my last job at. Now I live in a town where the cost of living is 33% higher than where I moved from and that's without the commute. Even though the interview went really well, and he was impressed with my credentials, I have to make a minimum in order to live (not just survive as we do now) So...there may be some negotiation...depending. So we shall see what happens. I will know next week. Who knows, maybe I will have a job and pass my test this week and all will be kosher. Stay tuned...  

No...I'm looking forward to it, actually. Being unemployed for 15 months, not knowing if you can afford what comes up week to week, and being around people again to talk too other than these 4 walls... Oh ya, it's going to be hard.

And maybe, if I make enough, I can register my bike again and have plenty of bike time again going to work and back. Though, I-95 on a bike may be scary....we will see.

It looks to be a nice place to work. I just hope it all works out. 

What a depressing week it has been. The interview went real well (he said so). I felt good about it. Thought I had it in the bag. Well, this week came and gone and no phone call. I called Thursday afternoon, left a voicemail telling him I enjoyed the interview and such, expressing interest in the job still and wanted to know if they had come to a decision yet. Nothing. Not a courtesy callback, nothing. And all week, have been waiting for a voucher for my next test...well, that didn't happen either. Still waiting. I don't know what is going on over there either. Seems to me that I have been abandoned this week. And I cant even play for more than a minute as my video keeps overheating and crashing my system or program. I feel doomed. Where's the vodka?
