Update... I have tried out the AM and it isn't so bad... it certainly is a different way of playing.

I have not used the bolt, so I don't know the effect not having a timer would have....

Im not sure about rod damage. Im was under the impression that Rod was 10%then add in dmage bonus then advance damage then triple. If anyone know for sure like slat or something I think it would be cool to know how it all works. Regaurdless thank you for help but I still have an issue of just being able to live through wave that my othere low level Wm laughts at. IF its going to be harder to level an Am shouldnt he or she get some kind of reward to look forward too??
Thank you again I appreciate all the help.

I believe the exp you get for damage done with bolt comes from the netdamage function in the RPGRules class which will apply all damage modifiers.
So I think you are right.
Edit: Like mentioned though the AM will be able to sustain rod much longer.

In my opinion each class while have a range of levels where they seem strongest: A level 20 WM may be stronger than a level 40 AM, but a level 60 AM may be stronger than a level 80 WM. I just made these numbers up to use as an example since there is no real data to really determine this yet.
Another factor that people keep leaving out is that the monster difficulty will not be constant: The monsters are much easier when you play a low level character compared to when you play a higher level character. The only way to rule this variable out is to make sure that there is a player with a lower level than your lowest level character.
