Hi Folks, New ideas check them out,i did some thinkingand althoe i love druids rpg,i will always have ideas on how to maybe improve the fun for all / (NEW VEHICLES-SENTINALS-TURRETS,and OTHER)

TURRETS.
Plasma Turret-Twin to the energy but shoots orbs,
Bolt Turret-shoots numerous,or single lightning bolts
Ion Turret- toned down mini palidan bursts,alt fire shield
Missile Turret-shoots avril,or rockets,altfire homeing
Flak Turret-shoots flak shellls,alt fires flak bombs
shield-Defense Turret- uses a palidan type shield to deflect,
spider Turret- spits our 8 mines that shock burst or similar on impact,

SENTINALS.
Healing-medic sent,\exp goes to the constructor- 5 hp per zap,1 zap per 2 seconds its not meant to heal you but to keep you alive till medic comes,

ammo-LA,WM sent.\ressuplys your ammo of your weapon being held,no exp to constructor, 1 bullet per zap 1 zap per 1.8 seconds

bolt-LA,Engineer sent.\shoots 1 significant dmg shot per 5-8 seconds

shock-Engineer sent.\shoots shock beam,shock balls

knockback-WM,Medic,LA,Engineer.\knocks back enemy while doing light dmg, knockback 5

aoe-levitate-WM,LA,Medic,Engineer.\area of effect boots of flight.. no exp to consturctor

aoe-magnetic-WM,Medic,LA,Engineer.\ area of effect sent, Sturdy 10.. no exp to constructor

VEHICLES.
All of these exist and downloadable at ut2004 related sites and XSMOD site i tried some of them ,a few didnt work for me but im sure you more tech swavy people can figure it out.

AC-SM- No Description
Atlas-no Description
CamperCar-no description
Gunship-no Description
Colossus-no Description
Condor-no description
Cruiser-no description
FlakTank-shoots flak
HoverMech-hovering vehicle,shock based
Lasher-flying vehicle- drops bomb like debris
LightningTank-shoots lightning
MissleTank-shoots missiles
NeoCondor- No Description
ShockChucker-shock based vehicle similar to titan rocks
SpiderMech-Awsome Spider walker
Wyvern-SM-flying vehicle

OTHER.
Reflecting blocks- special blocks that reflect certain enemy fire
Transporter pads- 1 transports 1 recieves
adrenaline fountain- creates a giezer of adrenaline pills every so often

interesting. but then I wouls just press my TOGGLE bAltFire and walk away as my rockets steer themselves into my enemies and getting me loads of xp while I go wash the dishes

I like this idea. but people already think medics get too much because of expierinced healing and the advanced dmg redux

FUND IT!!!! I never use anything other than my engi link or medic weapon because I can't keep ammo in them for 5 secs. this would make it so that piercing I have is actually USEABLE!

I find it to be a decent idea but I would use it more as my la than engi. I like how light sents draw all the aggro so I don't take it with my fragle, no health regen engi body. but my la needs all the help he can get

I saw something like this but it shot the shock balls for practice shooting. I assume it would do the same here but shoot at the enemy for you to combo from

like TF2 tele's? decent idea but considering everyone has a trans, the only usefulness I can see is placing one on one end of the map and the exit at the base so if you die and spawn in again or ghost away from the base you don't have to spend the next 30 secs running for your life trying to get to the base where you can't get it because of the enemies body blocking and the friendlies intercepting your trans with their face so you can't get in

FUND IT!!! I hate shooting at that titan but I keep getting bounced around so my rage flak hits that wall above the door and shreds me
 

Sturdy doesnt stop Titan Bounces.

sturdy does prevent you from over bouncing when titans ground pound,the sturdy wont stop the jump altogether but it will help greatly maintain some kind of stability.

Like these even though some of the ideas were mine like the medic sent and the adrenaline fountain. Little info about the transporter pads. There is actaully a gun that does this. Ever played Portal? Someone made the portal gun for UT2004.

I like the missle turret idea. to overcome the afk issue, just require a cool down after so many shots fired in sequence (like the plasma gun in halo)...if you constantly fire rockets the gun overheats and shuts down for a couple of secs.

Szlat brought up a good point about healing sents, and resupply sents would "devalue" the other classes:

To expand on your shield turret:
Make it a Shield sent that creates a force field that only allows team mates and team projectiles to pass through. Make it block shots like a def sent, where it can only block so many objects per second, and the damage that the shield absorbs goes to the sent itself.
This might be able to solve the blocks preventing access to other players issue.

Mystic, I love the way you keep coming up with new suggestions. Keep it up. While I don't necessarily agree with them all, they get people thinking.

Two other turrets to think about, that are already on vehicles:

One like the Hellbender side turret. Fires shock balls and beams.

And I like the fire from the non-deployed ion cannon on the leviathan - the little white homing rockets. (This could fit under the general heading of 'missile turret')

is it possible to change the link turrets secondary fire (link) to say a mine layer ?
would keep those pesky poison pupae off, and get rid of the link turret linking to a link turret

edit what about a jet pack

I was thinking about replacing the Paladin with a manta. So I tried it.
But it felt too fast for small invasion maps. So I slowed it down.
Then it was taking too much damage as it wasn't moving as fast, so I upped the health and mass, and reduced the driver damage.
Then it was more difficult to shoot things because it wasn't as responsive at moving and turning. So I changed the plasma fire to be homing.
But homing missiles put more of a load on replication, so I doubled their power and halved the fire rate.
But then it felt a bit boring with the slow fire rate, so I gave it the Manta its original primary fire, and made the alt fire the homing missiles (as well as the drop).
But then jumping didn't work very well - especially when using the alt fire
So it didn't feel good.
So I gave up.

I like these ideas, athough I'm not sure they're suited for the Engineer.
The ammo thing is a necessity in my opinion. I think it's absurd to essentially lock certain character classes into only using specific, weaker weapon types. I'm not opposed to specialties and even exclusives, but it's not realistic for people to rely totally on 30s ammo pickups.

For the sake of throwing out ideas - How about the ability to create a temporary weapon spawn / locker (lasts a duration or until used X number of times)?
