Hi, all! Where to start? Hey, Tarkus. . . I think I'm the old man of the group. I'll be 54 in April.
I got this computer 2 years ago. It had UT436 on it. I enjoyed it so much that I started playing online and got an education. Then I got UT2K3 and made some very good friends, most of whom play on this server.
I live in Oklahoma, on Lake Eufaula. I enjoy fishing, hunting and gaming. My wife and I are self-employed and make outdoor patio furniture out of red cedar. Keeps us pretty busy in the spring and summer. My grandson and nephews enjoy playing UT2K4 with me. I have 2 granddaughters that will be old enough to play in a few years.
I'm a disabled Veteran. I was in a helicopter squadron back in the early '70's. I have a bad right hand that goes numb on me at times; that's why you'll see me sometimes sitting back in my hide-e-hole until I get the feeling back in my hand. As you know, I'm on dial up, so if you see me shooting the walls sometimes, I've lagged out. I live one mile too far from town to get high speed. That is supposed to change in a few months, hopefully.
I really enjoy playing with all of you; just trying to have fun.
just got hi speed
Later all, Dirty Deeds

Hey DD!! I'm a cable grunt (i've run about 30,000 feet of cable and cat 5 in the last 2 yrs, don't want to even remember anything before that) If i lived a little closer i'd run that mile of cable for ya in a heart beat (i've got about a mile of the super underground stuff the cable company runs in my celler). see you in the game.

Welcome to the forums, DD! (Pssst.... Hi Ann!) I will complete my goal of world domination someday so you can have dsl, but it sounds like you may get it soon anyway. That would be fabulous No more wall-shooting, eh. Give the rest of us a run for our money.
Oh, and Ovaltine is actually quite popular here. I had roommates once that didn't drink coffee or soda, so they tried to get me interested in Ovaltine. I think it's nasty stuff. Nasty nasty. Back to my coffee....

With 11 kids in a 3 bedroom house, and a budget to fit, I, like most of my siblings, survived on PB&J for years. I still can't think of it without shuddering. Raiding the fridge at that age would usually net us a margarine and sugar sandwich (the bologna was meticuously rationed).
By the way, I always preferred PDQ to Ovaltine (for those of you who can remember) for the way the little chocolate cyrstals would pop in the milk like fireworks.........mmmmm, fireworks.
