Lately for some odd reason my local area network will crash and then, connect again, and then disconnected again. I am not sure what the problem is. I thought at first it was my router overheating or somthin, But I only have 2 computers runnin off it. I also disconecting everything and reconecting several times, Even placen them in diffrent ports on occasions. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it.

have you tried updating the firmware on the router? The manuf. will usually post new updates that you will "flash" your router with. No overcoat necessary.
cheers.

Hamish: "Your island"? You mean Ireland?
Stephen: Yeah. It's mine.

sounds like the CAT5E bearings are shot. try adding a pint of LED fluid and see if that helps.

You could point a fan at it and see if it helps. I know a lot of these little router boxes are prone to overheating.
Other than that, I'd check your connections all along the way, flash the firmware in the thing.
It doesn't really matter how many nodes are connected to it..

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Umm, is this a wireless router by any chance?
