My General's def sent isn't giving adren....

The def sent is giving off the animation and the noise but it does NOT give adren. Does anybody know if I have to purchase any other skills before it'll start working or is it a glitch?

its % based. .5 per level. if you have level 1 and only max adren of 100, its giving you .5 adren per tick... which rounds down to 0. if you had max 200 adren, you'd get 1 per tick. on a general you need at least level 2 to be useful to nearly everyone
