Actually, I find it easier to get high scores when you play with just bots. For one, there are less players to spread the point out, so generally, you get most of them. And they are usually pretty low level players, comparitively, so the monsters die a bit easier. My personal high score was playing with just bots.

My current skin After several other skins, I have reverted back to Bender.
Flak Monkey -> Berserker ( 818 )
Flak Junkie -> AM (60)
Monkey Wrench -> Engineer (27)

About the first 3 or 4 waves the bots will survive but after that they wont make it till the end of the round so that means that all the monsters will be based on your level, which in my case was level 360. Surviving a map full of warlords based on that level is not easy. The only good the bots did me was when one of them died and dropped a piercing +1 flack.

That would make it tough.
Of course, I did this before the new monsters came to play...
I have noticed tho, the bots have a higher accuracy and take out the vamp gnats fairly quickly. Bonus!
I would have to try it again sometime. usually early in the morning..

Good day today, first I beat my previous high score by my medic and I became the 3rd person to hit 3000. Dissapointing though because if I didn't get so greedy on wave 16 I would have taken over the #1 spot, but I'll take it. 
The next map I recorded my first bingo.
