What is better mini or alt mini

Back in the day, I played normal invasion and it was told to me that I should always use alternate mini gun because of 2 reasons 1). It shots slower so you go through ammo less. 2). The alernate has a better accuracy then the faster one.

So my question is now that it is modded and I can get INF mini, should I still be using alternate mini gun or should I use the primary?

If I'm correct the primary is less accurate but more powerful, secondary less powerful but more accurate. I use both, depending on how far away my target is. If I have an inf. I just run around with primary fire on and spray as many monsters as possible. Then titan/warlord/queen waves I'll focus on 1 until it dies.

I'm not a huge fan of the mini and generally I only use it if I need some health from camp, if that is the case I just spray monsters with the primary fire.

But, if you have an inf mini or a null 6 or something very good, I would suggest using primary fire for everything except for killing those mosquito things and nali bunnies. Also, if a monster is far away I'd suggest using alt fire.

Even with resupply 2 and 60 ammo bonus I run out of mini ammo too fast for it to be that effective for me.

Primary is good for close encounters, not just of the 3rd kind.
For any distance shots, use Alt. fire. More rounds will find the target, inf or not.

And if you have a good one, with a high firing rate, use a good Shock...it will hit every time and can be just as effective( if not more so) as a mini at long range. Great for low gravity fall maps. Pushes them right off. Even better if it's a knockback.

according to what I have read, primary and alt fire on the mini do the same damage per second. Alt fire uses less ammo. primary hits better at close range, or when spraying groups.

when I have a poison mini I tend to use the alt fire. if I have an inf* i will tend to use the primary on everything.

i cant believe im going to say this but...*sigh* i also do as hobo does. the mini being my all time fav weapon i tend to use the primary most of the time unless its at something moving very fast or very large and a ways away. but as far as the inf go...
