All righty, here's the dealio. I'm finally paying the last payment on my car next month (yay!) and as a reward to myself, I want a tattoo. Just a little one on the back of my neck. I've started pricing different places, checking out how sterile they are and such.

Uno problemo: I decided I'd like it to be the Pisces symbol (Go fishes!), but don't know exactly how I want it to look yet. I know the artists will draw out a rough draft and offer their ideas, but I want to explore all my options first.

So...if any of you get bored, if you'd like to, could you design something for me? Here's what it basically looks like:

If it helps at all, my favorite color is red.

If any of you decide to doodle, I look forward to seeing them!

If it helps, I can see about the design with an artist I know pretty well. I don't know if he'll do it or not, but I'll ask if you'd like.

Furry and proud of it!

Thanks Fox, but Titanium Wombat has been working on it. He's come up with some awesome ideas!

There are many itterations of the entire astrology set, from basic, as you have placed here, to most artistic. I'm sure a quick search on the net will surface numerous renditions of all 12 signs.

Tattoos are awsome and cant wait for my next one. But, I have put all my money into my Harley these past years. Have about 10 months of payments left. Then its tattoo shopping for me.

Maybe a sword in a stack of skulls, or something on the back. Havent descided yet. Will when I can afford it, but I have a wedding to pay for before then

Thanks Monkey, I've actually joined the forum on the Tattoofinder site and have been reading a lot.

As for designs, I've googled and yahoo'd, but didn't see anything that caught my fancy. As I said Wombat is designing something for me and he's come up with quite a variety of different looking drawings.

I wanted something to do with Cham too...so I want to have a little chameleon climbing on the Pisces symbol. I think Wombat is tweaking a design he sent me last week, it looks awesome.

I'm excited to get it! Any advice for a tattoo newbie?

Well, to describe the feeling, it kinda feels like someone scraping you with a razor blade, constantly.

It differs really, the sensation (others want to call it pain) between people and places on the body. The most delicate of the "normal" places to get one would be anything bony (ankles, collar area, elbows, etc) And the under arm is rather tender too. 'Tis why you see a lot of bands stop about 2/3s around someone?s arm and not all around, they wussed out. I dont think the back of the neck would be any dif. than the back. I wont lie, it will hurt, but after the first minute or so, you get used to it and ya kinda go numb, or the adrenaline builds up and you get sort of a high. That?s what people get addicted to and just get tat after tat...for the look and the rush.

I love tattoos. Its an individual and personal (especially if it's original and not Flash out of a book) expression of yourself. Best kind of tattoo has a memory or special event in your life. Like a photo album, only better. You can say..."...and this one I got in Florida the first time I went..." and so forth.

My only problem with tattoos on the back side, you never get to see them. You have to take the word of others. Of course you get to look at it in the mirror after its done....but...it's the only time. But you choose the look, you choose the location. Whatever says "ME" to others.

When ya get it done, I want photos....
